Position Summary
Under limited supervision, the IT Trainer is responsible for overseeing the creation, management, and execution of Workday technical learning and development programs for LCC employees. This position will ensure that technical learning is successfully created and delivered for new and existing Workday technologies supported by the Office of Information Technology. The IT Trainer will act as a liaison between CHESS and LCC for all support, communications, and training. This position will design and deliver technical training programs to all employees with appropriate content, including New Employee, ERP, and SIS-related training.
Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Duties and Responsibilities:
Communications (CHESS and IT):
Develop and implement effective communication strategies for CHESS and Workday to ensure clear and consistent messaging across all college departments.
Serve as a liaison between college departments and the training office to facilitate efficient communication and scheduling.
Serve as a liaison between LCC and CHESS Communications Office.
Serve on various CHESS/Workday workstreams, committees and meetings as required.
Maintain and manage an efficient workday Helpdesk for end user support.
Respond to service calls and inquiries related to communications, training and Workday issues.
Coordinates enrollment, tracking, and completions for employee role-based training.
Develop Adoption/Metrics to measure training effectiveness via surveys, evaluations, polls, and reporting.
Training:
Develop and coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation sessions and training programs
Track training progress and maintain records of training completed by employees.
Develop training assets such as manuals, videos, and presentations to support employee development.
Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and develop tailored programs.
Maintain a webpage dedicated to hosting training materials, Tip Sheets, training schedules and other useful information.
Participate in coordination and alignment for CHESS/College level training.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other college departments to ensure alignment of communication and training efforts.
Collaborate with Administration to inform them of ongoing training and communication endeavors.
Collaborate with other member colleges to identify shared resources for knowledge transfer.
Maintain standards in formatting guidelines, accessibility, and translation standards.
Work with college departments to develop/modify procedures so that they will align with Workday processes.
Develops and implements technology strategies for helpdesk, training and communications.
Performs other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL FACTORS
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading and visual inspection.
The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in communications, IT, education, or related field
Proven experience in developing and implementing communication strategies
Experience in training and employee development
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Experience in a higher education setting
Experience with Workday
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others
