Job Description:

The Defense Group at Leidos has a career opportunity for an Information Technology (IT) Standards Analyst to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO) in Alexandria, VA.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to support IT Standards, Technical Profiles and Interoperability Management efforts.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide analysis, recommendations and support for the drafting, development and promulgation of IT.

Standards and Technical Profile Standards to enable Enterprise Interoperability.

Provide support for the coordination of the DoD IT standards and Technical.

Profile Standards resource requirements across the enterprise information environment, warfighter, business, and defense portion of the intelligence mission areas.

Provide support and coordinate with DISA on recommendations for enhancements to the DoD IT.

Standards Registry (DISR, a module in the GIG Technical Guidance-Federation (GTG-F), to include updating outdated and obsolete IT standards and Technical Profile standards to better support the implementation of the DoD policy on utilization of IT standards and Technical Profile Standards for interoperability.

Provide administrative and technical support for DoD enterprise-level IT standards governance reform to support enterprise interoperability.

Provide support for the Joint Enterprise Standards Committee (JESC) and/or appropriate EASB subordinate standards panel or similar enterprise level governance meetings where component/agency concerns are resolved.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 12-15 years relevant experience or additional relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor's or

Master's and 10-13 year's relevant experience.

Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Must be US Citizen.

IT Standards knowledge and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with DoD operations and processes.

Good writing and briefing skills.

IDA provides answers to questions posed by the Department of Defense (DoD) and other agencies that require careful analysis. IDA's goal is to deliver objective, evidence-based, actionable analyses and advice focused on results. The Information Technology and Systems Division (ITSD) focuses on cybersecurity and other cyberspace challenges of national and global significance. ITSD approaches the growing cyber threat from the perspectives of operations and business, technology and systems, and policy and law, with a particular emphasis on where and how these perspectives intersect. This intersection, also known as "cyber in the seams," addresses the evolution of cyber as a national security function. Responsibilities ITSD has an immediate opening for an Adjunct Research Analysts. Research Analysts are highly qualified, self-starting professionals sought to advise DoD officials and selected audiences on cybersecurity challenges of national and global significance. Research Analysts are expected to develop the broader context (the big picture) for problems facing mid-level managers, senior executives, and military officials across the Federal government. Research Analysts are required to identify key components, while creating and executing appropriate analytic methodologies, and clearly conveying their findings to specialists and non-specialists alike. The position requires strong communication skills, and the candidate must be able to speak and write effectively, think analytically, and work independently. Qualifications * Candidates must possess one of the following education/experience combinations: * A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Research/Cognitive Psychology, Operations Research, National Security, Law Enforcement, or Political Science/Public Policy coupled with 20+ years' experience in research, systems analysis/ engineering/information technology, or cyber policy analysis, OR * A minimum of a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Research/Cognitive Psychology, Operations Research, National Security, Law Enforcement, or Political Science/Public Policy coupled with 10+ years' experience in research, systems analysis/ engineering/information technology, or cyber policy analysis, OR * A minimum of a PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Research/Cognitive Psychology, Operations Research, National Security, Law Enforcement, or Political Science/Public Policy coupled with experience in research, systems analysis/ engineering/information technology, or cyber policy analysis * Demonstrated ability to identify sources, assemble, and organize large, complex data sets for which subsequent quantitative and qualitative analyses is desired.
