Information Technology Specialist (Senior) Lenexa, KS
Accountability, Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, telephones, software applications and peripherals.
Provide expertise and support during systems upgrades, installations, conversions and file maintenance.
Oversee systems development and enhancement and the integration of new systems with existing systems.
Work with advocacy staff to develop strategies and plans to enhance client services, improve user effectiveness, and foster innovation.
Develop the IT staff to meet the changing needs of users, groups and offices; new projects and technologies; and varying staff strengths.
Develop standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to IT staff and to end-users.
Ensure the creation and maintenance of all license agreements, and documentation of modifications and upgrades.
Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements.
Manage financial aspects of the IT Division, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, manage servers, security solutions, network hardware and equipment.
Manage telecommunications infrastructure and development plans, projects, policies and procedures.
Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
Cultivate user Adoptions to maximize customer service and ROI.
Provide additional training instruction to managers and team leads.
Pro-actively consult with managers and team leads to identify challenges.
Manage and update all security access to these primary applications to protect customer information.
Defend systems against unauthorized access, modification and or destruction.
Perform vulnerability and networking scanning assessments.
Monitor network traffic for unusual activity.
Implement network security policies, application security, access control and corporate data safeguards.
Analyze and establish security requirements for your networks.
Train fellow employees in security awareness and procedures.
Provide technical security advice.
Configure and maintain internet filtering and provide reporting on demand.
Design, configure, and support internal and/or external networks.
Manage Wireless LAN, Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switching Units Cisco and Net-Gear
Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Provides technical support and guidance to users.
Administer Microsoft Server 2008-12 Environment including Active Directory and DNS.
Implement Group Policy for internal user and workstations.
Design network cabling layout for security.
Supervise company email access, and upgrade and archive all email related correspondence via Microsoft Exchange Server 2010.
Design, Implement and Maintain Lync 2010 Unified Communications system includes Telco Phone access, Instant Message, and Presence.
Maintain Building Security access via the Key Scan Access system for employee access cards.
Manage and Design off site co-location for data backup and disaster recovery strategy.
Maintain a detailed working knowledge of both GP 2010-15 CRM 2011-15 applications.
Research and propose solutions of CRM/GP and related products.
Maintain intranet security, including users and content permissions.
Update, upgrade and maintain the application environment for CRM/GP.
Detailed working knowledge of SQL Server 2012-15 and Database management.
Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan.
Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures.
Manages SAN (Storage Area Network) that contains servers and storage units.
Designs VMware infrastructure virtual servers, and virtual networks to enhance application access.
Education / Experience:
Bachelors or Masters degree in computer field.
8 or more years of IT work experience.
Microsoft MCP, Dynamics CRM, GP, MCP.
