Duties

Summary

Serve as Information Technology (IT) Specialist at the GG-12 grade level and provides specialized and technical IT services within one or more of the following areas: policy and planning, security, systems analysis, applications software, operating systems, network services, data management, Internet, systems administration and customer support.

A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 10.99% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time.

Responsibilities

You will perform duties as the Assistant Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and is responsible for developing and implementing the task force?s information systems security program to include Computer Network Defense (CND).
You will implement and maintain Information Systems (IS) security-related policies, concepts of operation, instructions and standard operating procedures.
You will perform network vulnerability scans using Nessus scanning technology; analyzes results of scans; exports scan results; mitigates vulnerabilities to include writing Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAM).
You will serve as a member of task force Configuration Management (CM) team and Configuration Control Board (CCB).

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing the following duties such as: 1) Developing and implementing the task force information system security program to include Computer Network Defense (CND); 2) Implementing and maintaining Information Systems (IS) security-related policies, concepts of operation, instructions and standard operating procedures; 3) Establishing and maintaining policy and rules sets using McAfee's Host Base Security System (HBSS) and upgrades HBSS; 4) Upgrading HBSS instruction from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA); 5) Conducting comprehensive security audits and providing assistance to functional users regarding security vulnerability operations and maintenance.
