You Will Be Responsible for:
Contribute to training initiatives by providing logistical support for sessions on cybersecurity best practices, and possibly delivering prepared training content under supervision.
Support security project related tasks and day-to-day security operations as assigned, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and reporting progress to project leaders.
Serve as a point of contact for city staff regarding security-related questions and issues, providing guidance and support as needed.
Serve as a point of contact for Police Department for topics relating to Public Safety Video Network and Real Time Information Center.
Acts as liaison in working with vendors, contractors, and staff to administer projects and activities with the Police Department.
Installs, administers, and trouble-shoots business class enterprise applications and services, including peripheral devices for the Public Safety Video Network and Real Time Information Center.
Prepares proposals and professional service agreements in accordance with approved budgets; administers the solicitation and review of bids.

ARE YOU QUALIFIED
Education and/or Experience:
High school graduation or G.E.D. is required, including related college-level coursework and technical training and certification in computer technology, equivalent to an Associate degree or higher. Three years of user support and information technology experience in a helpdesk environment is required, including working with equipment specifications, vendor contracts, and performing administrative duties.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Business class computers and peripheral equipment features, specifications, services, and applications; proposal and project development, and contract administration methods and practices; budgeting procedures and techniques; computer terminology; computer installation, trouble-shooting and repair practices; microcomputer hardware and software; user account administration techniques; information technology resources, Windows and Apple based software, and hardware commonly used by City departments.
Coordinate and lead projects related to computer and peripheral installations, upgrades, and repairs; train and assist users with technology applications and questions and solve technical problems; actively participate on committees and teams; establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, contractors, vendors, and management; organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; install, operate, trouble-shoot, and resolve problems involving computers and peripheral devices.
Certification as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) for the current desktop operating systems version is highly desirable.
Possession of or ability to obtain an appropriate California driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
