Job Description and Duties

CCHCS seeks to fill a permanent/full-time Information Technology Specialist I position in the Information Technology Services Division.

Under the direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the Information Technology Specialist I, serves as the Electronic Medical Records System (EMRS) / Electronic Dental Records System (EDRS) Technical Specialist demonstrating an in-depth understanding and level of expertise of EMRS/EDRS to perform a wide variety of tasks requiring regular innovative problem-solving. The incumbent will serve as the data analytics and business intelligence (BI) specialist responsible for leading, designing, managing, developing, documenting, and delivering enterprise business intelligence solutions for mission critical applications and systems.

The incumbent must maintain confidentiality of information acquired while performing job duties, demonstrate ethical behavior and work cooperatively with others. Travel to institutions and after-hours support of California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) software applications and systems may be required due to operational need.
