This position is located in the Bureau of the Comptroller and Global Financial Services, Office of Global Systems Unit, in the Financial Systems in Charleston, South Carolina (CGFS/GS/FS). The Financial Systems Section manages the configuration, installation, implementation, optimization, and operation of systems and networks enabling the execution of domestic and overseas financial transactions.
Consult with system design teams in defining requirements for and determining the optimal configuration of new or enhanced financial systems.
Administer the installation and implementation of new systems ensuring interoperability and integration within the existing financial systems infrastructure.
Ensure that installed financial systems and networks meet current requirements and initiates efforts to develop new and enhanced systems where determined to be necessary to meet new or changing requirements.
Manage the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of plans and procedures for the backup and recovery of systems and networks.
Maintain a keen awareness of current research and development in the information technology field.

Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience applying advanced Information Technology (IT) principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices sufficient to develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services throughout an organization.;
Experience with BEA Tuxedo transaction processing; and
Experience applying systems analysis principles and techniques, business process engineering concepts, and new information technologies sufficient to assess new systems design methodologies to improve the way IT is applied to key business functions.
NOTE: In order to qualify for this position, your experience MUST be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.
