Information Technology Security Engineer

Position Summary:

Responsible for the management of IT Security systems in a large enterprise, and designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect our organization's computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. This position will be responsible for identifying threats and vulnerabilities in systems and software, then applying their skills to developing and implementing high-tech solutions to defend against hacking, malware and ransomware, insider threats and all types of cybercrime.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities as Assigned:

• Engineers security solutions without oversight while collaborating with multiple internal departments and vendors

• Analyzes security systems, seeks continuous improvements, best practices and standards.

• Plans, implements, manages, monitors, troubleshoots and upgrades security measures for the protection of the organization's data, systems, and networks.

• Responds to all system and/or network security breaches. Performs cyber security incident triage, reviews logs, and performs remediation activities.

• Enables the appropriate security controls to protect the organization's data and infrastructure.

• Researches vulnerabilities, perform vulnerability scanning and alleviate threats

• Develops new processes while cross-training coworkers and assisting employees on security-related matters

• Reviews and reduces inappropriate/overprovisioned access to drive least privileged access.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Information Technology, Cyber Security or related field

• 5 years' experience in Information Technology with 3years in a security focused role

• Ability to travel to other McLaren subsidiaries as needed
