JOB SUMMARY:

As an Information Technology Intern, you will be assisting in the upgrading of computers from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Working closely with our IT team, the successful candidate will ensure a seamless transition to the latest operating system. This position offers an excellent opportunity for motivated and detail-oriented individuals seeking hands-on experience in IT support and system administration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the planning and coordination of Windows 11 upgrade project.

• Conduct pre-upgrade system assessments to ensure compatibility with Windows 11 requirements.

• Perform data backup and migration procedures to safeguard user files and settings.

• Deploy Windows 11 on designated computers following established protocols and best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues encountered during the upgrade process.

• Provide end-user support and guidance regarding new features and functionalities of Windows 11.

• Document upgrade procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

• Collaborate with IT team members to optimize upgrade workflows and minimize downtime.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.

• Adhere to security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information throughout the upgrade process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and familiarity with Windows 10.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with users of varying technical abilities.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Prior experience with computer hardware/software installation and maintenance is a plus.

• Knowledge of system imaging and deployment tools (e.g., Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, Windows Deployment Services) is desirable but not required.

• Availability to work full-time during the specified seasonal period.

EDUCATION:

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
