IT department for our Restaurant Company. Summary Direct responsibility to develop, manage, update, document, and support various restaurant technology systems including software and hardware support, configuration management, quality assurance, third-party vendor application support, and general user support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate with software vendors to prioritize enhancement requests and bug fixes; Ensure successful system-wide deployment without operations impact. Provide support, as needed, for all systems (hardware and software). Extensive knowledge diagnosing and troubleshooting software, hardware and procedural problems. Work to minimize downtime resulting from procedural, hardware, or software applications issues.
Isolate problem trends and ensure that troubleshooting efforts are completed for recurring problems until permanent solutions are found. Develop, Test and Deploy configuration changes and software updates to the restaurants timely. Monitor the deployment of all changes to ensure completion.
Follow-up on failed deployments and resolve issues. Recommend and/or develop processes, policies, and procedures that lead to a more efficient and effective customer support. Proven ability to execute projects regarding software and hardware deployment, staging, configuration, testing, programming, installations, or upgrades.
Multi-task in an effective manner and work successfully in a fast-paced environment. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Experience Experience with restaurant technologies.
In-depth working knowledge of restaurant systems; Xenial / Sicom POS, Kitchen Display Systems, Configuration Center (CFC), online ordering, loyalty programs, and new technologies as needed. Hands-on experience in restaurant POS administration/management, restaurant support, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Ceiling/on Wall Screen mounting.
Business systems knowledge required, including POS, sales, labor, cash, inventory and system. Experience with managing multiple high priority initiatives in a fast-paced highly technical environment. Education High school diploma or GED required; certification a plus.
Skills Creative in technical solutions and possesses strong problem-solving skills. Strong analytical skills to identify trends and dig into root cause of problems. Ability to multitask effectively.
Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written. Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. Must be able to document and present technical issues to be understood at a user (non-technical) level.
Problem-solving abilities and ability to consistently meet deadlines. Ability to build positive and collaborative relationships. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions Conditions include hearing, kneeling, walking, crouching, crawling, grasping, pushing, lifting, sedentary work, and visual acuity. Working inside, around machines with moving parts and moving objects, radiant and electrical energy. Occasionally lifting machines or boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
Working closely with others and working alone. Working irregular hours, including evenings and on call. Requirements Extensive travel, up to 75%. Valid Driver License.
