Ridgefield Public Schools has a vacancy for an Information Technology Manager to begin July 1, 2024. This is a 12 month position.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily operations of the Technology Dept consisting of Network Administrator, Helpdesk Coordinator, Application Specialist, Database Admins, and several computer technicians. Reports to the Director of Educational Technology.
Responsible for designing, configuring, installing, maintaining, and repairing network systems, subsystems and servers.
Maintains and configures security infrastructure, including security cameras, building door access, and emergency notification systems.
Responsible for user account creation, printer management, and antivirus solutions.
Google integration including user management, application and chromebook support in a 1:1 environment.
Manages a mixed Windows server infrastructure consisting of physical servers and VMs in a Hyper-V environment.
Installs, configures, and supports Cisco/Aruba LAN, WAN & Wireless network equipment.
Resolves helpdesk tickets which are escalated from technicians and monitors ticket workflow to ensure user requests are handled in a timely manner.
Collaborates with Administration, staff and vendors to ensure adherence to the district's technology initiatives, policies and programs.
Manages Active Directory infrastructure, Group Policy and DNS/DHCP.
Assists district personnel in planning and deployment of appropriate hardware and software related to curriculum.
Assists with eRate funded purchasing and Capital budget creation.
Serves as a technical resource to district staff for the purpose of providing information and/or advice regarding active or planned projects.
Helps configure and update various student testing platforms in conjunction with district testing administrators.
Recommended Skills and Qualifications:
5 years experience working in a network environment, with experience in an education-based environment highly desired.
Demonstrated supervisory experience that includes evaluation, discipline and management.
Must be able to work independently with the ability to collaborate with team members and personnel at all levels.
Strong knowledge of Google Suite integration with Windows Active Directory.
Strong communication and writing skills.
Willingness to work after hours as needed for network/server maintenance or emergency issues.
Starting salary $105-$120K, dependent upon relevant experience
