Job Description and Duties
Under general direction of the CEA A, the Information Technology Manager I (ITM I) is responsible for organization change management (OCM) activities under the purview of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Project. The ITM I will guide OCM activities related to IT Project Management which includes, but not limited to, Communications Management, Planning, Portfolio Management, Process Engineering/Re-engineering, Scope Management, Stakeholder Management, and Time/Schedule Management. The ITM I will oversee the development, maintenance, and monitoring of standardized methods and procedures for the efficient and prompt handling of all organizational changes in order to minimize the impact of change upon Department of State Hospitals (DSH) service quality.

This is a Sacramento-based position that may work remotely throughout California. Incumbent will have minimal to no travel requirements but may be asked to go onsite to one of DSH's six locations if needed and with prior notice.

Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Certified in Change Management
Experience in supporting a multi-location organization
Experience in executing Change Management methodology
5 years of experience managing a team of technology professionals
Strong working knowledge of Electronic Health Records solutions and their potential business impact
Strong working knowledge of Agile and waterfall project management methodologies
Strong working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices
Extensive experience working with teams of business and technology staff, with an ability to clearly communicate with and persuasively present to a wide variety of audiences
Experience as a direct leader; provide coaching, mentoring, goal setting and overall performance management for staff
