Information Technology Support

Sumaria has an opening for a Senior Information Technology tech supporting the MQ-9 Reaper. Duties will be performed in Poway, CA working closely with the Program Office and General Atomics.

Duties include:

Apply knowledge of computer science principles, information management principles, automated data processing functions, hardware and software systems' structures and operation, and computer programming languages and techniques to solve automation problems specific to aircraft research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition and sustainment activities. Additionally, the Contractor shall interface with and use minicomputer and mainframe computer systems in addressing project objectives; use standard or conventional approaches, methods and techniques to define, plan, organize, design, develop, modify, test and integrate data base and/or data processing systems. This includes computer hardware systems and simulation models; assist in formulating architectural design, functional specifications, interfaces and documentation of hardware or software systems; use detailed specifications and adapt standardized techniques, methods, criteria and precedents to develop or modify portions of a system or program; and shall be responsible for segments or phases of broader, more complex projects.

Be knowledgeable of the configuration and maintenance of multiple servers, firewalls and of processes to implement upgrades to the same.

Ability to provide simultaneous support to multiple personnel, as well as fully support personnel located at multiple locations.

Experience with providing technical and feasibility analysis for modifications or upgrades to Information Technology (IT) systems.

Provide support by facilitating management of the configuration and performance of operator maintenance of all laptop and desktop Personal Computers (PC), servers, telecommunications and office equipment for the Division.

Perform duties at the system administrator level for the network.

Support the configuration and maintenance of MS-based, Sidewinder firewall, and Blue Coat servers and any Government-approved upgrades to that equipment.

Support the installation and maintenance of Government-approved critical patches for all servers, routers and PC.

Perform, maintain and test daily backups of all network data.

Support the creation and maintenance of all user and Division accounts as approved by the customer.

Support the configuration and monitoring of the Cisco Routers and Cisco switches and any Government-approved upgrades to that equipment.

Provide support to facilitate all incoming and outgoing mail via the Exchange Software and any Government-approved updates to that software.

Support the creation and maintenance of USAF Portal accounts for military, civilian and Contractor personnel as approved by the customer.

Provide technical and advisory assistance by serving as the liaison between Det 3, AFLCMC/WII WPAFB, Edwards AFB, Naval Air War Station China Lake and GA-ASI IT personnel, to establish and maintain both GA-ASI accounts and WPAFB Non-classified Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) and Secret Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) accounts. The Contractor shall identify issues that require Government intervention/determination, and make recommendations to the customer for consideration.

Provide advisory assistance to the customer in coordinating IT support studies to identify and obtain support from government installations for long-term military network connectivity.

Support Secret Internet Protocol Router Network operations at Det 3 and its OLs.

Support the management of all unit Blackberry cell phone accounts, as well as configuration and maintenance of accounts on the unit Blackberry server. The Contractor shall support the installation, configuration and maintenance of Video Teleconferencing capability in both locations at Los Angeles County, CA and Poway, CA.

Assist the Division Communications Security account manager in support of Det 3 operations.

Provide advisory and draft documentation assistance to the customer in the management, acquisition, maintenance and monitoring of all communication and computer equipment required to support aircraft research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition and sustainment activities for the Det 3 operations.

Support the management of the Det 3 AIM asset accounts to include required technology refreshes.

Assist the customer in their function as the unit information assurance officer.erve as an electrical engineer supporting multi-specialty teams to achieve results specified by program leadership in aircraft research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition and sustainment activities.
