IT Co-op needed to assist in supporting the IT department. Co-op must display a strong technical aptitude along with the ability to work independently, as well as interact closely with other departments and employees.
The student will apply principles that he or she has learned in school to hands-on situations
The student will be responsible for accomplishing performance goals and will receive progressive responsibility in operations/manufacturing throughout his/her co-op experience
Will identify and recommend process improvements for specified projects
Will perform or review systems analysis, testing and documentation for existing processes
Will take ownership and responsibility for identified projects.
Work within specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner
Manage Helpdesk calls and enter in helpdesk tracking system
Troubleshoot Network, PC, Laptop, Servers, Custom Applications, VPN, Sharepoint. Among others
Perform Hardware and Operating System Level Installations.
Configure and troubleshoot installed applications.
Diagnose and correct network connectivity problems.
Customize and deploy PCs.
Troubleshoot printer issues
Assign/change/remove user network and application permissions (work with System and Network Admins.) in accordance with IT procedures and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
Assist with SQL Reports
Other duties as assigned
Must be enrolled in an accredited college and have successfully completed their freshman year prior to co-op
Must be pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or similar
Must be able to commit to a 6-month minimum assignment, 25-30 hours per week
Co-op position will be flexible to work around breaks and weekly school schedule
