Department Information
The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing is an agency in the Executive Branch of California State Government. It was created in 1970 by the Ryan Act and is the oldest of the autonomous state standards boards in the nation. The major purpose of the agency is to serve as a state standards board for educator preparation for the public schools of California, the licensing and credentialing of professional educators in the State, the enforcement of professional practices of educators, and the discipline of credential holders in the State of California.

Statement of Qualifications -
The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is a narrative discussion of how your education, training, experience, and skills meet the minimum and desirable qualifications and qualify you for the position. The SOQ documents your ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. The statement should be typed, in a minimum of 12-point font, single-spaced, on standard-sized paper (8.5" x 11"), and no more than 1 page. Resumes and cover letters do not take the place of the SOQ. Applications submitted without the required SOQ will be considered incomplete and may not be considered for this position.

Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Experience installing/troubleshooting various software including, but not limited to Windows 11, M365, Adobe, etc.
Experience installing and troubleshooting hardware and peripherals.
Ability to perform help desk functions: troubleshooting, account maintenance, and using help desk tracking tools.
Ability to analyze, think logically, interpret technical data, and make sound decisions.
Ability to prioritize work assignments and/or problem solutions to ensure completion within established timeframes.
Ability to adapt to changes in priorities, work assignments, and other interactions.
Ability to work independently on projects or assignments without close supervision or detailed instructions.
