ABOUT THIS POSITION

This position will support the Phoenix Police Department's Law Enforcement Critical Systems including the current system and impending Records Management Systems (RMS), Field Based Reporting (FBR), Centrally Linked Information for Public Safety (CLIPS), Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Mobile Data Terminals (MDT) and other critical systems throughout the department.

In addition, this position will:

  • Troubleshoot existing software, configurations, associated interfaces, and data exchanges.

  • Interact with internal and external customers, Law Enforcement Partner Agencies, and System Vendors.

  • Work with end users on any critical system problems, issues, or business requirements.

  • Implement migration plans, upgrade paths, supporting system architecture, and testing with other team members and agencies.

  • Provide project technical support of any critical system change, upgrade, or migration.

  • Work directly with vendors to troubleshoot, provide emergency support, and system upgrades.

  • Provide after hours on-call support to all critical systems.

SALARY

Pay Range: $74,797 - $121,825.60 annually.

Hiring Range: $74,797 - $105,284 annually.

  • Hiring range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three years of experience in applications analysis and programming, systems analysis, and design; including project leader responsibility.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, business administration, mathematics, or related field.

  • Other combinations of experience and education, which meet the minimum requirements, may be substituted.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:

  • Certifications in specialized IT fields.

  • Development experience with:

  • .NET, Webservices SQL Developer and Salesforce.

  • Reporting tools such as SQR, BI Publisher, SQL, and/or PeopleSoft Query.

  • Experience with/in:

  • Collaborating with business users to translate requirements into technical design and solutions.

  • Supporting data exchanges, including open data and Troubleshooting Law Enforcement Critical Systems and Interfaces.

  • Gathering and design of technical specifications for customizations and reports testing.

  • VB.NET (Visual Basic.NET) development software.

  • SQL (Standard Query Language) database (storage procedures, triggers, and scripts).

  • Linux, TSQL/SQL, Message Queue (IMB MQ), and Shell Scripting.

  • Data migration and implementation.

  • Using reporting tools such as SSRS.

  • Database Development.
