Job Description:

Position Summary: Quincy College is seeking a skilled IT Analyst to oversee and manage various IT operations, including asset management, security operations, network support, and help desk services. This position requires the successful candidate to manage and secure IT infrastructure across multiple campuses, with the availability to occasionally work nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition and deployment to maintenance and disposal, ensuring effective management and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

• Spearhead security protocols to protect all IT assets and infrastructure, continually assessing risks and implementing appropriate security measures to mitigate threats.

• Maintain and optimize network systems, ensuring reliable connectivity and performance across all locations, while addressing any network-related issues promptly.

• Participate in the help desk operations, providing swift and effective support to resolve issues, maintain high service levels, and ensure user satisfaction.

• Travel frequently between campuses in Quincy, Plymouth, and Boston to ensure uniform application of IT practices and prompt resolution of site-specific issues.

• Develop and refine technical documentation and system reports to track assets, monitor network health, analyze help desk operations, and report on security status.

• Participate in after-hours support and emergency response as needed, particularly during system upgrades, critical patches, or security breaches.

• Participate in mandatory training/coursework; including but not limited to:

Title IX and Sexual Misconduct

Sexual Harassment and Non-Discrimination

Security Policy and Notification of Security Reporting

FERPA

Municipal Ethics Law

• Assume other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience in an IT operations role, with strong competencies in asset management, network administration, and security management.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

• Strong communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with and supporting staff across multiple departments and locations.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in managing IT service management (ITSM) platforms and understanding ITIL frameworks.

• Experience with security systems, including firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems.

• Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, or PowerShell.

• Relevant professional certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: IT Professional.

TRAVEL: Frequent travel required to Quincy, Plymouth campus and Boston Location
