Position Summary

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking an Information Systems Technician to support internal and external stakeholders through software interaction and management, data reporting, software and hardware troubleshooting, and meeting organization and documentation. This position will work as part of a small IT team to support pharmacy research for the New York State Department of Health Medicaid Initiatives in the Department of Pharmacy Practice.

Job Duties to include:

  • Software interaction, maintenance, and management

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree with 2 years work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Demonstrated experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java, etc.)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365, (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat for document management and manipulation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) field

  • Database management skills, experience with SQL

  • Prior experience in helpdesk support

  • Work experience in a higher education setting

  • Familiarity with marketing and survey tools such as Mailchimp and SurveyMonkey

  • Experience with healthcare data

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills

  • Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks simultaneously

Physical Demands

Ability to transport 25 lbs.

Salary Range $50,000 - $58,000 Additional Salary Information The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate.
