The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for one (1) Full-Time, Permanent Information Systems Specialist 7 (Infrastructure) position.

What will you do?

In this position you will evaluate, design, migrate, deploy, and manage hosted, virtual, and local server, storage, and directory systems. This includes the administration of M365 hosted services, domain controller, access control and various OSP business systems, principally on Microsoft platforms, including some non-Microsoft platforms such as Linux technologies. You will support information security through monitoring of system logs, performance, and access/identity controls. You will work with Enterprise Information Services (EIS) and Data Center Services (DCS) partners to troubleshoot system problems and ensure alignment with the Enterprise. You will engage in contract and vendor management to ensure appropriate licensing and support from vendors. You will be a Tier 3 technical expert in the design, recommendation, and use of server environments and related cloud services. Additionally, you will provide some training, provisioning, and direct user support for these technologies.

Minimum Qualifications (these must be addressed in your resume for full consideration):

Six (6) years of information systems experience in:

Microsoft Active Directory Design and Administration

OR

An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field;

AND

four (4) years of information systems experience in:

Microsoft Active Directory Design and Administration

OR

A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

AND

two (2) years of information systems experience in:

Microsoft Active Directory Design and Administration

OR

A Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.

Preferred Skills (these must be addressed in your cover letter for full consideration):

  • Proficiency in navigating and managing Microsoft Admin Consoles.

  • Administration level experience with enterprise applications and SSO Authentication.

  • Demonstrated experience leading and implementing IT initiatives.

  • Ability to collaborate with teammates and build positive working relationships with internal and external partners.

  • Ability to develop and administer technical trainings to a diverse range of audiences.

Special Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.

  • Must be LEDS certified or be able to obtain certification upon hire.

The salary listed is the non-PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%. Please review the Classification and Compensation page for more details.
