OPS Consulting is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to work in Annapolis Junction, MD.Job Description: The ISSO will provide support to the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for maintaining appropriate operational information assurance, security posture, and technical involvement for all matters of information systems and programs.Other responsibilities include:
  • Assist with the management of day- to- day security operations of systems, software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Assist in the development of the system security policy, planning, and regular compliance.
  • Develop and update system security plans.
  • Maintain and control changes to the system and assess the security impact of those changes.
  • Provide support to plan, coordinate, and implement IT security programs and policies.
  • Provide configuration management for security- relevant information system, software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Knowledge of security tools, products, and authorization techniques to also include incident management, PKI, and authorization services.
Required qualifications:
  • 10 years of relevant experience supporting related work.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT Engineering
  • CWIP Certification:
    • IAT III (CISA, CISSP, GSE, SCNA, or GCIH)
    • IAM I (GISF, GSLC, Security+, or CAP)
    • IAT I (GSEC, Security+, or SSCP)
Security Clearance:
  • Eligibility to obtain a current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are desired but not required.
