SAIC is looking for a well-qualified Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join an exciting program in Northern Virginia. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a willingness to learn. Job responsibilities include ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for specific information systems; developing and updating system security plans; managing and controlling changes to specific systems and assessing the security impact of those changes; incident handling; and development of information system security documentation, policies, and procedures.
An active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (TS/SCI);
The ability to complete a counter-intelligence scope polygraph (CSP);
A bachelor's or higher degree in an appropriately computer-related field from an accredited university or one of the following certifications:
The Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification,
The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification,
The Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), or
The GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC); and
Seven years (minimum) experience providing information security (INFOSEC) or cybersecurity support; and
Three years (minimum) experience using security auditing and vulnerability scanning tools in support of monitoring and assessing systems.
