Description:
Resource who is experienced in managing and troubleshooting Client-Server software in a large enterprise.
Requirements:
-Experience with Tanium, SCCM, Big fix or similar product.
-Experience with Firewall concepts and rules
-Experience with PowerShell and/or VBScript.
-Experience with WAN/LAN network configuration, protocols, and bandwidth restrictions
-Ability to troubleshoot workstations and server (Windows 7 and 10 severs 2008, 2012, 2016)
-Ability to independently installs, tests, and implements complex component-level changes within -the technology infrastructure.
-Ability to operates, maintains, and provides customer support for a wide variety of complex technology components.
-Ability to analyze and develop innovative resolutions for complex problems involving availability and/or performance at the component level.
-Works independently with vendors to resolve problems and, implements solutions.
Expected Results:
-Documented processes / procedures, automation, and reporting to institutionalize end-point threat detection and response.
-Reduction in time to identify and resolve vulnerabilities within the Postal Computing Environment.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
Extensive experience (7+ years) in information security operations and/or related IT operational functions
EDUCATION:
Must possess a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Security (Masters Degree preferred).
CERTIFICATIONS: (One or more required)
  • CompTIA Security +
  • CPTE - Certified Penetration Testing Engineer or CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker
  • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
Additional Provisions
Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.
All candidates must be a US Citizen, or have a permanent residence status (Green Card).
Candidate must have lived in the US for the past 5 years.
Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e. collared shirt with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women.
Place and Period of Performance
Hours of support:The standard work week for contract staff will be 5 days a week and 8 hours per day preferable Monday through Friday.
Contract staff may be required to travel to support business efforts.
PoP: through 09/30/2018 with expected renewal.

In this role you will be reporting directly to the Privacy and Security Officer and Manager, this position will require assisting as needed the security team with primary functions involved with vulnerability management, risk assessment, audit evidence collection, privacy and security awareness, security incident management, access management, and log analysis. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Teams with other security analyst members and security personnel on the account and in corporate. * Manages vulnerability analysis tools such as Nessus, Tenable Security Center, IBM AppScan and McAfee Vulnerability Manager (MVM) to be performed on occasional weekends for production environments. * Initiates customer service tickets and assigns to appropriate personnel for remediation based on scan results. * Assists with development and implementation of security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security. * Assists with the investigation of security incidents as required. * Assists with log reviews and other detective controls * Assists with access control for authentication and authorization and the quarterly ID review process * Conducts risk assessments and risk analyses to help the organization develop security standards and procedures that support strategic, tactical and operational objectives on a cost-effective basis. * Assists with the Information Security Incident Reporting program for containment and correction of security incidents * Participates in resolving problems with security violations * Assists with the development and delivery of information security and privacy training * Validates that IS systems meet predetermined security requirements based on established and approved standards * Works with vendors and user departments to enhance information security QUALIFICATIONS: Required Skills and Experience : * BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Management, or four years of relevant experience * Solid understanding of ISO 27001/2 and NIST 800-53 * Knowledge of security hardware and software products that comply with current industry standards. Desired Skills and Experience: * Knowledge and understanding of technology-related state and federal regulations, in particular HIPAA/HITECH * At least one security certification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc. is desired. * At least 2 years of progressive experience in computing and security, including experience with Internet technology and security issues. * Core understanding of risk analysis from a security perspective * Proven ability as a member of a high-profile team and ability to communicate technical and security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff. * Experience with using vulnerability analysis tools such Nessus, Tenable Security Center, IBM AppScan and McAfee Vulnerability Manager (MVM .
