The Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services (ES) Sector is seeking a Principal Information Systems Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse leaders in our Information Technology Solutions (ITS) Division.
ITS provides information technology solutions and services across Northrop Grumman, driving superior business performance through a robust, secure, cost-effective IT infrastructure which enables collaboration and strategic business partnering to foster innovation and technology.
This motivated individual will serve as a project manager within the ESPM organization and will provide leadership and overall direction to the assigned project team while providing oversight and leadership for all project requirements. The selected candidate will serve as the customer liaison for project leadership and will manage all scheduling, change
management, risk management, and cost management requirements for the assigned project. The selected candidate will also be responsible for any optimization, or other remediation work assigned by the program manager. The location for this position is in El Segundo, CA. Up to 10% travel may be required.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Program Standup activities to include, but not limited to; Stand up of Engineering application at DoD or SCI Levels, Coordinating DoD Secret network connectivity at remote contractor/partner sites, Standup of Simulation lab at DoD level
Effective coordination with members of the business partnership teams to optimize programmatic strategies
Effective use of ESPMs ascribed processes and procedures
Initiation of iBuy purchase orders for network and server hardware to support programmatic requirements
Assisting program leadership in assessing, documenting and tracking of all new program requirements
Preparation of project execution plans and identification of appropriate technical and business resources required
Manage and track status of projects, metrics, financial budgets, and EACs; manage schedules and prepare status reports; and ensure project remediation and ongoing compliance goals are met
Bachelor's Degree with 9 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 7 years relevant experience.
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance (In Scope) with a Periodic Review completed in the last 5 years
Experience and demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, and Excel.
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills
Experience leading multiple project assignments
Experience leading matrix staff
Problem solving with integrated team including but not exclusive to the program manager, functional managers, and customers
Experience with project management tools and presenting project data like status, risk and deliverables to key stakeholders
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related STEM field
Previous experience working IT Infrastructure projects
Agile or SCRUM Certification
