Nature of Work

This is a professional and supervisory position involved in the planning, coordination, and development of information systems on a departmental level. Responsibilities include both a thorough understanding of departmental processes and workflow and comprehensive knowledge of the capabilities of commonly available computer software and departmentally developed information systems. Work is performed under the managerial direction of the department director.

Minimum Training and Experience

Qualification requirements include possession of a bachelor's degree in computer science, business or public administration or related field (master's degree preferred) and three years of progressively responsible professional experience in a field related to public sector management or information technology systems, preferably in local government, including one year of supervision; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Other Necessary Qualifications

Previous experience maintaining and trouble-shooting departmental servers.

Maintenance and repair of hardware components

Prior integration process experience preferred.

Responsibilities As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above * Train and lead staff * Establish effective working relationships directly with clients * Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen * Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues * Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients * Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand This role is part of the cloud collaboration services team within the firm's global IT organisation. Individuals in this role are responsible for operating and administering specific services in support of the firm's enterprise architecture vision and applicable technical standards. Implementation support for new PwC entities and Google services is also a responsibility of this role, in alignment with the consistent delivery of collaboration services across all member firms. Job Requirements and Preferences: Basic Qualifications: Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree Minimum Years of Experience: 2 year(s) working with and managing enterprise systems or relevant experience Preferred Qualifications: Additional Educational Preferences: Experience with IBM Notes and Domino desirable Certification(s) Preferred: ITIL Service Management accreditation desired Preferred Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas: * Working with specific infrastructure and application technologies such as G Suite services, Lotus Notes, Admin tools, to implement and operate advanced cloud hosted collaboration services; * Working experience with Service Now or similar ITSM system; * Understanding of user provisioning models and approaches, related tools and directory services; * Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP directory technologies, Google G Suite directory, directory synchronisation services, and Mail routing concepts/SMTP; * Working with IT Service management operations procedures and Operational management experience; * Deploying or managing G Suite installations; * Operating global, highly available SaaS services; * Troubleshooting issues and identifying territory or global specific issues; * Working in complex technical environments; * Having the ability and willingness to learn other technical aspects of deploying G Suite; * Leveraging analytical skills when evaluating potential solutions; * Developing and maintaining a current understanding of the technical architecture and designs associated with the cloud collaboration services delivered, and all relevant enabling technologies; * Providing thought leadership on the administration of the specific technologies and services needed to deliver the identified services; * Defining and maintaining administrative processes that support existing and new collaboration services and capabilities; * Collaborating with the service manager and member firms who consume these services to establish alignment is achieved and maintained across member firms; * Assuming super administrator responsibilities for the global Google G Suite service, including assisting with the controlling, maintenance and monitoring of the firm's Google G Suite global service while meeting all legal and security requirements; and, * Assisting with the controlling, maintenance, and monitoring of the Google G Suite service across all of PwC, in alignment with agreed governance procedures, by coordinating with other Google G Suite service managers and administrators, and carried out under the direction of the global service manager.
