BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer or assigned designee, supports the planning, implementation, data entry, data retrieval, and assessment of data collection and reporting procedures to meet Federal, State, and Local requirements. Engages in problem solving and analytical tasks to ensure the accuracy and security of student data across multiple databases. Performs a variety of technical duties to maintain precise and secure student data. Additionally, provides expert technical support and training to District Office and school-site personnel users, enhancing their proficiency in utilizing data processing system applications.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
The classification of Information Systems Analyst is distinguished from the Senior Information Systems Analyst in that while both maintain student and educational data systems, the former performs technical work and supports professional analysis and research studies. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Assists with District compliance with mandated electronic state, federal and other reporting systems.
Prepares and distributes a variety of reports used for student support services functions including attendance, grades, course work, schedules, progress, and report cards, SSID numbers, graduation lists, etc.
Participates in training, developing and providing in-service activities and procedural manuals to administrators, teachers, and classified staff regarding reporting procedures for enrollment/attendance, FTE, student records, special education, and Student Information System application.
