GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, the Information Systems Administrator and Analyst is responsible for the maintenance, management, reporting, data integrity and security of college information systems and their respective integrations, including but not limited to the enrollment management systems and databases, the enrollment CRM and its connection to other college systems including the Student Information System (Jenzabar). In addition to maintaining system integrity, this position will provide invaluable enrollment data that will inform decision making at the institutional level.
Attention to multiple details and dependent project components, and effective communication and interpersonal skills will be crucial aspects of this position. The Information Systems Administrator and Analyst is expected to maintain confidentiality and respond in a highly professional manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Administer aspects of the college's Information Management Systems, Works with staff, faculty and administration to provide end-user support and troubleshooting.
Serves as the lead trainer for college users of the Enrollment Management System, and CRM (Hubspot), helps identify, develop and implement improvements to college business processes.
Works with college staff to audit and review information produced from the Enrollment Management System, with special attention given to ensuring the highest level of data integrity system wide.
Oversees database user account setup, security, access, and standards in collaboration with the Director of IT, Senior IT Database and Systems Administrator, and in consultation with key administrative module managers.
Safeguard confidential and/or sensitive data, files and documents; guiding and implementing security implementations around Jenzabar, Hubspot, and related computing systems.
Develop and/or work with staff to create, develop, and maintain standard data reports customizable by the end user.
Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques
Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Filter and "clean" data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
Work with management to prioritize institutional and information needs
Keeps abreast of trends, developments, best practices, and technologies as appropriate for this position.
Assists with general system administration and desktop support as needed.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical users.
Ability to handle detail-oriented work while meeting schedules and deadlines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of two years of experience using Customer Relationship Management Systems such as Jenzabar, Hubspot, Salesforce, Slate, or an equivalent product to capture and manage prospective student information.
Minimum of two years of experience using Student Information Systems such as Jenzabar, Banner, Ellucian, or an equivalent product to capture and manage student information.
An associate degree may replace up to 3 years of experience, and a Bachelor's degree can replace up to 4 years of experience
At least one year of experience and demonstrated ability to analyze requests for ad hoc reporting, identify the location of the desired information, and then produce a finished report working in collaboration with end-users.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
1-3 years' experience in higher education or learning environment.
Experience with SQL preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Occasionally, lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds may be required.
