Torch Technologies is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) - Intermediate to join a team ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for various information systems (IS). This position supports the 96 Cyberspace Test Group (96 CTG) at Eglin AFB, FL.

Responsibilities:

This position requires a highly motivated individual with experience in information security, particularly with serving as an ISSO for DoD Special Access Programs.

  • Ensure IS are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures as outlined in the security authorization packages.

  • Ensure IS users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities.

  • Work with Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to report all security-related incidents.

  • Conduct periodic reviews of IS to ensure compliance with the security authorization packages.

  • Serve as member of the Configuration Change Board (CCB).

  • Coordinate changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware of a system with the ISSM and Authorizing Official (AO) / Delegated AO (DAO).

  • Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored and functioning correctly.

  • Ensure all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.

  • Ensure audit records are collected, reviewed, and documented (to include any anomalies).

  • Attend required technical and security training (e.g., operating system, networking, security management).

  • Maintain required IA certifications.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and at minimum of 3 years of technical experience is required. Six years of technical experience may be substituted for a technical BS Degree or four years of applicable technical experience and an applicable Associates Degree.

  • DoD IA Technical (IAT) Level 2 certification within 6 months of employment in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M DoD 8570 directives and supplementing AF regulations; AFMAN 17-1303 based on position responsibilities.

  • Must already possess and be able to maintain a current Top Secret/SCI clearance.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.

  • Knowledge and experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG).

  • Familiarity with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Secure Requirements Guides (SRGs) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team and lead/direct the work of others.

  • Proficiency in the use and integration of MS Office applications.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate orally and possess technical writing skills.

  • Ability to perform job duties independently and with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working DoD Special Access Programs (SAP).

  • Understanding of development test and evaluation processes, specifically the DoD Acquisition Lifecycle for program development and detailed knowledge of Air Force C2 test methodologies including AFI 99-103.
