Job Description:

GDIT is seeking an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) whose primary function will supporting Wickr Recall, Alert, and Messaging (RAM). This position will be located in Fort Walton Beach, FL.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • Candidates must possess aworking knowledge of cyber security policies and technical cyber security protection measures.

  • You will also serve as the action officerfor all cyber security issues.

  • You will conduct periodic scans to verify networks and systems are appropriately baselined with tested and approved system and application patches, hot-fixes and updates.

  • Continually evaluate the security posture of all networks and systems, including making recommendations for implementing new security controls as new threats and vulnerabilities are discovered.

  • Ensure the following activities are required and completed on a periodic basis (e.g. ensuring data is backed up, account management (deactivate unused accounts and validate user access rights), participate in the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Evaluate all new software and hardware products for potential security flaws and risks.

  • Immediately notify the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of all security-relevant issues, findings and potential risks associated with any Information System (IS).

  • Periodically review and analyze audit logs for system deficiencies and anomalies using audit reduction tools.

  • Prepare, update and maintain RMF documentation such as, but not limited to, Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages, System Security Plans (SSP), Risk Assessment Reports (RAR), Security Control Traceability Matrixes (SCTM) and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) for all networks and systems.

  • May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager)


  • 8+ years ofrelated technical experience.

  • The candidate must have at least 5 years demonstrated knowledge of RMF.

  • The candidate must have at least 2 years demonstrated experience in eMASS.

  • The candidate must have an in depth understanding of STIG's and SRG's


  • One of the following Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 for Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level 3 certifications:

  • CISM

  • CISSP (or Associate)

  • GSLC


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree (Desired)

  • 5 years orequivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Current Secret Clearance

  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position

Your Impact: Mission Statement Jacobs is seeking a qualified Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support the United States Air Force's 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract. This contract supports the 53rd Wing and 96th Test Wing, both headquartered at Eglin AFB, FL and with units CONUS-wide. This position will support the 83d Fighter Weapons Squadron (FWS) at Tyndall AFB, FL. The 53 WG is the focal point for the Combat Air Forces in electronic warfare and is responsible for operational test and evaluation of advanced equipment and systems. The 96 TW is the USAF's test and evaluation center for advanced air-delivered weapons, navigation and guidance systems, and C2 systems. The 53rd WTSS team partners with military and civilian personnel to provide world-class IT technical support for the 53 WG and 96 TW missions. The 53rd WTSS IT support covers full lifecycle IT from concept, to deployment, day-to-day operations / maintenance, and culminating in system retirement / replacement / upgrade. Job Description The successful candidate will support the 53rd Computer Systems Squadron, a 53 WG unit, that provides communications and information systems for the 53 Wing's four groups. It automates, sustains, and operates wing communications and information systems activities including unclassified, collateral, and advanced program local area networks. It operates the Combat Air Force Network Operations Center providing classified information services to the CAF worldwide. The 53 CSS provides network capability to fuse data from multiple test facilities into one coherent picture and it develops and maintains the computer systems supporting the development, test, and dissemination of electronic warfare mission data. The 53 CSS also provides advanced programs audiovisual support and operates and maintains a state-of-the-art video-teleconferencing capability. The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced, highly technical, and award-winning area that requires a strong work ethic coupled with honed technical skills in both systems administration and information assurance / cybersecurity. The successful candidate will use their knowledge, skills, and ability to research to design, integrate, and implement the security controls into current and future products / systems thus ensuring these systems can be accredited based on compliance with the Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG). Duties will include, but may not be limited to: * Performing security assessments on hardware/software products to include physical, virtual, boundary, and security appliances. * Implementing continuous monitoring tools and processes, development of improvements to security assessments regarding accuracy and efficiency as well as integration of new techniques to improve the confidentiality - integrity - availability triad for network / operational systems at multiple classifications levels. * Writing and executing cybersecurity test procedures for validation of security compliance. * Integrating ancillary tools / capabilities with the enterprise Security Information and Event Management and creating / tailoring complex alarms, rules, and reports in association with an events. * Monitoring output of cybersecurity tools for reportable security incidents and residual risk along with working as part of the security incident response team. Here's What You'll Need: Required Skills: * Tier 2 / Tier 3 system administrator experience on Microsoft / Linux operating server systems. * Experience as an information systems security officer. * Experience performing security assessments on hardware/software products to include physical, virtual, boundary, and security appliances. * Experience developing and executing cybersecurity test procedures for validation of security compliance. * Practical Configuration Management experience. * Practical experience researching and resolving complex technology issues. * Practical / hands-on experience working in SAP / SCIF environments. * Clear understanding of audits as they pertain to government information systems security Required Clearance: * Active / Valid DoD TS/SCI-eligible clearance (i.e., DCID 6/4 eligibility); applicant must maintain clearance in active/valid status. * Clearance investigation close date must be no older than 5 years, 6 months at the time of application. * Must be willing to submit to, and be able to pass, a CI polygraph. Required Certification: * Active / valid DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification; applicant must maintain currency of same. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience developing and/or contributing to RMF- / JSIG-based AtO packages. * Experience implementing continuous monitoring tools and processes. * Practical experience using, and analyzing output from, ACAS, Security-Center, and/or Tenable. * Practical experience using, and analyzing output from, Security Compliance Checker / Security Content Automation Program. * Practical experience using, and analyzing output from, Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer. * Practical experience integrating ancillary tools / capabilities with the enterprise Security Information and Event Management and creating / tailoring complex alarms, rules, and reports in association with events. * Ability to monitor output of cybersecurity tools for reportable security incidents and residual risk along * Experience leading or as team member of the security incident response team. Physical Requirements * Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. * Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. * Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. * Due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Shift work may require on a rotational or permanent basis as determined by mission needs. * Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. * Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. * Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.
