Professionally, ALIS IT Service administrators develop the skills of our many domestic US or expanding number of International locations. The Mission Planning Environment Administrator directly supports JSF operations by assuring the integrity and availability of the applications and servers on the system. The successful candidate will be the main interface between the Mission Planning Environment system and the Pilots and maintainers supporting the F-35.

This is an operational support role to an active fighter unit, so the selected candidate may be required to work at deployed CONUS/OCONUS locations, support rotating shifts, and work over 40 hours per week-which may include weekends-as dictated by mission requirements.

This role is in support of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) that will be based in Williamtown, Australia. We are seeking an experienced Mission Planning Environment Administrator to work on the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Mission Planning Environment. The successful candidate will be required to train both Royal Australian Air Force administrators as well as Lockheed Martin Australia administrators. In this role you will be required to cross-train across multiple functions (Network, Systems, and Security Administration).

  • NOTE THAT THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE DEPLOYMENT WITH THE ROYAL AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Interacting daily with users and ALIS/LM leadership

Perform COMSEC duties and adhere to requirements

Support pilots in Mission Planning/Debriefing and identify/resolve system shortfalls

Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) installation and data updates

Support, administer, and monitor associated hardware/software and pilot accounts

Maintaining smooth, secure operation of multi-user computer systems through coordination with peers, Tier2 support and engineers

Backups, restores, and disaster recovery of systems/databases/network equipment

Reviewing processes/procedures, collect system operational data for analysis

A level 4 employee typically has 9 -12 years of professional experience

Basic Qualifications:

Candidates must have a DOD Top Secret Clearance with and investigation within the last 5 years.

Must have and retain DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA)

The ability to maintain a DOD Top Secret Clearance

IT experience of any combination in system/database/network administration/Mission Planning

Experience with three of the following: Powershell; Virtual Machines; DNS/DHCP;SQLPlus; RMAN; data import/export; Layers 2&3; firewalls; intrusion detection, Splunk, Security Auditing Aggregators

Desired Skills:

  • At least 2 years MPE Administration experience

  • Prior experience working with pilots supporting F-35 ALIS Mission planning and Debrief.

  • Knowledge of JMPS, Link-16, Mission Planning and Debrief, and/or COMSEC.

  • A background working on a Fighter Program with familiarity of Mission Planning and Operations.

  • Prior experience working with the Japan Air Self Defense force or Japan Maritime Self Defense Force.

  • Personal Computer Debrief Software (PCDS) experience

  • Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) experience

  • COMSEC Experience

  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills to be effective in a high tempo operational environment.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
