• Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information. 

• Identify and define system security requirements and advise on necessary changes. 

• Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs. 

• Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols. 

• Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices. 

• Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks. 

• Ensure that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents. 

• Respond to information security issues during each stage of a project’s lifecycle. 

• Supervise changes in software, hardware, facilities, telecommunications, and user needs. 

• Define, implement, and maintain corporate security policies. 

• Analyze and advise on new security technologies and program conformance. 

• Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel, and outside vendors, etc. to provide technical assistance and support. 

• Comply with the Performance Work Statement Section 5.1.4, attached documents, and all other requirements listed in the solicitation.. 

Requirements: 

• Proven work experience as an Information Security Specialist or related role. 

• Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques. 

• Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts. 

• Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them. 

• Strong understanding of endpoint security solutions to include File Integrity Monitoring and Data Loss Prevention. 

• Analytical skills to analyze security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls. 

• A relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP) preferred. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 

Terms of Contract: 

• This is a full-time position for the duration of 10 months under a Firm Fixed Price contract. 

• Work must be performed at the designated destination as required.
