What do we need:

We are looking for an Information Security Specialist to assist the team in executing the data loss prevention (DLP) program and help develop a multi-year roadmap of initiatives.

What's special about us:

The Information Security Risk team is a group of 10-15 people around the globe that investigate a variety of informational risk. They are led by the manager of Global Information Security and Risk

How you would contribute to the role:

As an Information Security Specialist, you will participate in a variety of risk management efforts as it relates to minimizing data loss. You will be executing Amway's global Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategy, which includes the DLP policies and rules that support compliance.

You would also be responsible for:

  • Developing data discovery and protection strategies, architectures, and implementation plans

  • Identifying trends and driving requirements aimed at fine-tuning existing data loss prevention policies, processes and technology

  • Monitoring and responding to DLP information security events/alerts using available DLP tools to respond, triage, and escalate as needed

  • Remediating data incidents and troubleshooting/resolving scan errors to assist with preventing data loss

  • Developing metrics and dashboards to keep management informed on DLP incidents and trends

  • Translating business requests into IT requirements to create, test, and implement the policies within the DLP solution. For example, the individual will identify target repositories globally and run data scans to build a comprehensive data inventory.

This role will work in close partnership with User & Entity Behavior Analytics, Security Engineering, SOC, Legal, Privacy, and other business units as appropriate to respond to data incidents and take the appropriate response actions. The stakeholders for the risk management team are from all levels of the organization, so the individual should be an effective communicator.

What skills and background will be important to be successful: * 6 years of operational experience in Business Analytics processes * Experience with user centered agile methodology is a plus * Understanding of distributed systems driving large-scale data processing and analytics with a successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets * Familiarity or expertise with AWS/Azure/GCP "big data" technologies * Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases such as Microsoft and Oracle databases to advance analytics capabilities * Deep expertise with one of the major cloud solution providers - GCP, AWS or Azure.
