80% Delivery & Support
Must have 8-10 years of experience providing network operations support of Barracuda Web Security Gateway and centralized monitoring services to a large sized organization.
In depth experience in internal, external, network and application vulnerability assessment using Qualys guard and Fire eye.
In depth knowledge of cloud based web content filtering and malware protection.
In depth knowledge on public cloud based deployments.
Moderate experience with network and application firewalls for cloud connected organizations.
Excellent knowledge of secure transport implementations (SSL, SSH, IPSEC)
Proactively creates and maintains tools for monitoring and support
and reporting across multiple efforts
Configuration, debugging, and support for infrastructure
Collaborates with product and project teams to understand needs and enable them with infrastructure
Leverages tooling and custom applications to monitor the operational status of applications, infrastructure, networks, databases, and security; optimizes and tunes performance as appropriate
Drives root cause analysis, debugging, support, and post-mortem analysis for security incidents and service interruptions
Maintains, upgrades, and supports existing systems and infrastructure to ensure operational stability
Opens and manages vendor problem tickets to resolution
Drives the production of in-house documentation around solutions.
Provides application support for software running in production.
Creates scripts and tools that drive automation and enable product teams and end users to move towards self-service.
10% - Learning:
Keeps abreast of innovations and industry trends as well as changes to internal systems and determines how they impacts tools, training, and support necessary to keep systems up, running, and secure.
Participates in and contributes to learning activities around modern systems engineering core practices (communities of practice).
Proactively views articles, tutorials, and videos to learn about new technologies and best practices being used within other technology organizations.

Directly and/or indirectly supervises and guides project members and technical and analytical support staff to accomplish objectives. Responsible for development of project plans, execution of project deliverables and proactively identifying and managing risks and issues. Responsible for devising and/or modifying and ensuring implementation of associated operating procedures. Ensures senior leadership and other constituent are informed of project progress, findings, and deployment plans. Demonstrates District and Department culture, performing with Excellence, Respect and Integrity in all things. Creates and owns objectives that support Department Strategic Goals. Key Responsibilities: * With limited oversight, manages and leads multiple technology projects and initiatives of varying complexity at the Department, District and/or System level to advance the development of Information Security services and programs. Requires a high level of business and technical acumen, as well as project management experience. Has significant independence and discretion in managing project schedules and setting deadlines. * Manages projects by outlining project requirements in terms of resources, equipment, time and costs. Responsible for development of business requirements and overall project plans. Assigns small scope projects to project coordinators as appropriate and monitors their progress. Communicates project progress, findings, output and deployment plans to senior leadership and all constituents. * Demonstrates mastery of project management principles, and is relied upon to provide thought leadership on project management approaches. Applies mastery to significantly influence project direction and objectives. Utilizes knowledge of latest trends related to information technology and project management to identify and apply qualitative and quantitative best practices and tools for project execution and management. Has significant subject matter expertise in Information Security, along with knowledge of emerging Security topics to aid in the completion of project deliverables. Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of processes, procedures and tools supporting project and portfolio management. * Participates and provides leadership in System work groups and staff throughout the System to foster communication, influence decisions, and collaborate on best practices. Includes coordinating with internal and external resources for the planning, development and implementation of new services or enhancements to existing services. * Leads the development & use of metrics useful for improvement of project/process efficiencies and tracking. * Assists in departmental budget planning & tracking particularly in regards to project management. * Performs other duties as assigned or requested, including operational and administrative functions and reporting.
