A career in Information Security, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to develop and support our internal security technologies and services across the entire global and local PwC network. You'll focus on being the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing information technology including hardware, software, and networks that enhances security of internal information and protect our firms intellectual assets.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above

  • Train and lead staff

  • Establish effective working relationships directly with clients

  • Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen

  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Demonstrates thorough knowledge of, and/or proven record of success in, firm priorities, Network Information Security concepts, principles and standards and their application in a large enterprise environment, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, with emphasis in the following areas:

  • Understanding and leveraging information security policy and procedure development and maintenance (including security awareness and role-based security training);
  • Performing and maintaining formalized risk assessments;
  • Maintaining Insider Threat Awareness training process;
  • Implementing and overseeing a compliant Risk Management Strategy;
  • Providing insight to overall security strategies and evaluating organizational progress towards agreed upon goals, and finding solutions to complex issues in order to maintain timelines and achieve project success;
  • Developing and maintaining information security training and development programs;
  • Creating and maintaining effective business relationships;
  • Writing, communicating, facilitating and presenting cogently; to and/or for all levels of audiences, and internal staff and management;
  • Developing team building skills that foster an inclusive and collaborative environment for stakeholders and team members; and,
  • Collaborating with team members to create an atmosphere of trust, seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation, answering questions and providing direction to less-experienced staff, coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.

Demonstrates thorough abilities, and/or proven record of success, supporting and/or coordinating Information Security Governance, preferably for a global network of professional services firms or matrixed environment, with emphasis in the following areas:

  • Identifying and addressing leadership and stakeholder needs;
  • Collaborating effectively with all levels of stakeholders and project resources to gather information for various project management activities, adapting strategy as needed;
  • Leveraging creative thinking, problem solving, and technology (i.e., MS Office Suite, Lotus Notes, Google at Work and other firm sponsored technologies) to develop deliverables and analyses;
  • Working independently on projects, influencing line manager by providing project and operational planning and implementation; and,
  • Keeping team and leadership informed on progress and or issues affecting deliverables and/or the department.

VIEW JOBS 4/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-17T00:00 PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Conduct Business Intelligence mapping discussions, configure solutions, guide system and integration testing, and manage implemented solutions * Function as a liaison between IT, holdings companies and functional areas, maintaining effective management of these essential relationships * Assist in leading the design, implementation and utilization of measurement tools to evaluate business process effectiveness * Facilitate reporting and report development using RDLC to aid problem solving and data analysis utilizing intelligent tools. * Proactively identify processes that would benefit from system automation to improve Business Intelligence team effectiveness and increase operating efficiencies * Develop strategies, schedules and work assignments to ensure that projects meet time and budget goals * Create comprehensive training programs and documents with the goal of creating effective end users for all Business Intelligence tools * Serve on the Business Intelligence steering committee in a leadership role * Eliminate data silos and bridge gaps between holdings companies using effective data models that enable cross functional and rolled-up holdings level reporting * Participates on various cross functional project teams, following SDLC methodology and agile development to ensure business governance and acceptance of technical interpretation of requirements – this includes understanding the sensitivity of confidential information and its distribution * Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures * Ensure creation of quality design documentations of all BI initiatives to departmental, corporate and industry standards * Effectively provide guidance to team members as their lead, helping to establish goals, overseeing projects and aiding in professional development * Research and test new technology solutions, vet architectural changes that would have to occur to support enterprise adoption, and determine impacts * Manage user security for new and existing Business Intelligence tools in compliance with all audit requirements QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred (Management Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative subject a plus); or five to seven years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * 5-10 years' experience with complex/technical report design and implementation with working knowledge of variable syntax construction for various aggregation strategies, and an understanding of when a data cube will require an alternate aggregation approach. * 5-10 years' experience working with various DW, BI, or ERP software packages (Tableau, SAP Business Objects, SAS Business Intelligence, Cognos, SAP, Data Stage, Informatica, Oracle, JDE, QAD, etc.) * Complex relational database development, maintenance, and exception testing experience required (MS Access, Data Warehouse, Oracle, or other) * Experience with data modeling strategies and related technical documentation, understanding of universe structure types and corresponding functionality, ability to design, execute, and document test scenarios. * Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint & Visio; must have expert functional knowledge of Excel and Access * Candidate will understand SDLC/RDLC/DCLC, waterfall, and agile methodologies and practical application when managing or participating in any project, enhancements to database or system configuration, or fulfilling a request for data/reporting. * Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and ensure follow-through on committed deliverables. * Strong analytical, logic, and problem solving skills required. * Candidate will demonstrate a wide degree of creativity and initiative in problem solving, as well as a drive to streamline/automate/improve and innovate. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to concisely convey analytical interpretation and/or data issues to affected members of departments. * Demonstrate high personal standards of behavior in a professional environment.
