Jack Henry & Associates is seeking a talented Information Security Engineer to join the Chief Information Security Officer 's Enterprise Information Security Group. This position supports the activities of those who ensure the security of company information and assets. You will assist in providing guidance with regards to policies, procedures, and standards. You are a part of a team of experienced security analysts that works with teams across the enterprise to assess security threats to the organization and our customers. Travel is up to 10% to attend meetings, conferences and or additional training.

The Information Security Engineer must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. This position will be responsible for assisting the CISO in the design, development and implementation of an enterprise-wide Data Privacy Program. In collaboration with technical and non-technical personnel, you will assist in the effort to devise policies and procedures in accordance with industry practices and regulatory requirements to ensure the privacy of company and customer data.

About this Team

Jack Henry & Associates Enterprise Information Security team provides oversight and governance supporting the confidentially, integrity and availability of JHA products, services and systems. Candidates will be part of larger team of 15 employees in various Jack Henry locations.


This position will be hired from one of the following offices: Lenexa, KS, Springfield, MO, Monett, MO, Allen, TX, Louisville, KY or Charlotte, NC.


  • Must have a minimum 3 years of information security, data protection/management and/or data privacy experience within an enterprise environment.


  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
  • CIPP, CISSP, GIAC, or CCSP certifications.
  • AAP Certification.


  • Develops the security of electronic information and establishes security systems, policies and procedures to prevent system compromise or infiltration.

  • Establishes appropriate firewall standards and designs and implements security policies to control system access.

  • Develops and implements standards for appropriate security checkpoints and encryption methods.

  • Assesses the impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration, or denial of access to information.

  • Investigates, recommends and monitors implementation of new security products and services. Acts as a central point of contact for internal and external customers on security issues.

  • Participates in product Change Control Boards and works with other departments to ensure security of products and services.

  • Monitors and evaluates internal and external security threats. Researches security threats and implements appropriate changes to programs to prevent company and customer data assets from being compromised.

  • Follows up on security findings from security-related reviews and other third-party reviews.

ACEs focusing in this Data Center practice will work with our lead engineers designing, planning, and implementing Data Center Solutions including Network Virtualization, Storage and Compute platforms.
