Position Description

We seek an information security architect to work under limited supervision, applying strong technical skills and experience to recommend, implement, support, and improve information security controls. He or she develops secure systems and network architectures and assists other teams in securing their architectures. He or she supplies expertise to management, business areas, and IT teams in risk assessment as well as implementation of appropriate information security controls and monitoring.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop secure strategies and architectures

  • Assess, report on and make recommendations regarding current and proposed architectures, strategies and systems

  • Support IT-related projects as an information security subject matter expert, providing support throughout their life cycle

  • Perform security checkpoint reviews, ensuring security requirements have been identified and adequate testing performed

  • Review systems and processes for compliance to information security standards

  • Provide information security expertise for risk assessments

  • Participate in IPRM process improvements

  • Continuously improve information security knowledge and skills

  • Provide thought leadership by identifying new information security threats, emerging technologies, and counter-measures

  • As assigned:

  • Assist in responding to audit requests and issues

  • Provide technical assistance in investigating and responding to information security incidents

  • Assist in the development and implementation of information security-related policies, standards, baselines and procedures

  • Provide information security expertise for third-party risk management

  • Evaluate policy and standard exception requests and respond

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a security architect or 8 years in a technical IT specialty, preferably in the financial services industry

  • Knowledge of:

  • Information systems vulnerability management processes and technologies

  • Information security standards

  • Quality and process improvement disciplines

  • Recognized standards such as ISO2700x, COBIT, PCI-DSS, ITIL V3, CMMI and TOGAF

  • Compliance aspects of GLBA, EU Data Protection Directive, Sarbanes-Oxley and other relevant laws and regulations

  • Experience with:

  • Developing policies and standards

  • Implementing and configuring information security tools

  • Developing and improving information security processes

  • Strong technical knowledge of security in at least one of the following:

  • Applications - UI, API, Frameworks (Java, .Net, Python, Angular, etc)

  • Unix servers

  • Windows servers

  • Oracle and/or MS SQL databases

  • Networks

  • Middleware

  • Mobile devices and applications

  • Cloud Computing Security Design/Architecture

  • DevOps Automation

  • Problem Solver/Analytical Thinker

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Good relationship management skills

  • Flexibility and adaptability in the face of changing priorities

  • Ability to evaluate and manage risk

  • Ability to manage several unrelated efforts simultaneously

The manager will be responsible for setting the strategy and direction for identifying cybercrime to the company. Key Job Responsibilities will include: * Daily operational management for the IS cybercrime and phishing disruption team. * This position will monitor the overall cyber financial crimes environment as threats emerge, evolve and gaps are identified. * Develop partnerships with Wells Fargo's existing fraud teams across the lines of business. * Responsible for developing strategic cybercrimes and threat analysis reporting to inform product, service, and channels and will lead the development of detection strategies to mitigate exposure to complex cybercrime threats. * Provide subject matter expertise on actual or perceived events as well as reviewing emerging technologies and tools for IS and other lines of business. * Lead efforts to modify and or enhance the IS operation system to have functionality to execute on design specifications/consults and plans with business partners to assess cybercrimes and security risk around new projects. As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business.
