The Information Security Architect will apply business process analysis and information security knowledge, combined with technical knowledge and experience, to develop secure processes, procedures, and plan infrastructure implementations. The position requires staying abreast of emerging threats and hacker techniques to proactively ward off potential attacks. This person will assess and research current and future technologies, provide recommendations for improvement, and ensure the implementation of technologies that meet the business goals and security goals.

Responsibilities:

Provides advanced architecture and engineering support to integrate security and compliance requirements into all enterprise information systems and projects as part of the SDLC process by working closely with other company architects.

Assesses current applications and architecture to ensure current implementations align with industry guidelines, best practices, and management approved standards.

Develops plans for remediating any findings discovered in assessments and audits.

Evaluates new products and technologies for security best practices and performs security threat and architecture reviews prior to purchase approval. Stays abreast of emerging issues and threats as well as technology to counter.

Creates plans for implementing management's directives in most secure way with least disruption possible.

Assists various IT departments with design, implementation, and troubleshooting of security technologies.

Performs web and network penetration tests to further ensure the implementation of technologies best matches management's intent.

Collaborates with peers in other areas of the company to continually improve upon security throughout the organization.

Participates in the secure engineering process and works with enterprise security tools to manage the security risks posed to enterprise systems.

Provides engineering support to integrate security and compliance requirements into all enterprise information systems and projects as part of the SDLC process by working closely with various IT areas

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Demonstrated experience installing and managing firewalls, web application firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.

Demonstrated experience with enterprise-ready technologies at a global scale.

Advanced experience with big data, cloud computing and storage, and major virtualization technologies.

Experience with, and knowledge of, regulatory and industry frameworks and standards

Proven knowledge of technologies (MCSE, MCSA, GCUX, GCWN, CCIE, CCNP, F5, etc.).

Proven knowledge of security programs, frameworks, and standards ( CISSP, CISA, CISM, GPEN, GWAPT, GCIH, other GIAC certifications, OSCP, CEH, Check Point, PCNSE, etc.).

Intermediate to advanced understanding of web and network penetration tools and techniques.

Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems. Must be able to measure risks and identify strategies based on a broad range of internal and external factors to make decisions resulting in the best business outcome.

Possesses sound analytical and critical thinking skills. Security solutions may be complex in nature. Must have ability to think creatively and incorporate current technical solutions into outcome with end user in mind.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to formulate and communicate highly technical and complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and effective manner. Ensures understanding and builds relationships.

VIEW JOBS 1/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-16T00:00 Business Process Architect The Business Process Architect is a key member of the IT Architecture & Governance team that ensures that the business processes, resources, and information are aligned to deliver FHLBDM's business strategy. This role is responsible for modelling current and future state business processes, while identifying gaps and proposing recommendations to remediate the gaps. The role also is responsible for identifying and leading efforts to improve on current business process. Responsibilities/Duties/Function/Tasks: * Partner and collaborate with Business and IT stakeholders to translate goals and objectives into strategic roadmaps. * Collaborate with technical teams and management to devise business architecture strategy and roadmaps for the Bank in alignment within architecture domains (business, data, application, infrastructure, security). * Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and management, to ensure business architecture is aligned with business strategy and IT standards. * Create and maintain business capability, interaction diagrams, process, and technology inventories. Work with multiple capabilities, functional teams, and/or departments to gather and document the structure of FHLBDM's business and technology landscape. * Capture the relationships among roles, capabilities and business units, the decomposition of those business units into subunits, and the internal or external management of those units. * Conduct analysis to determine best path for solving business problems/opportunities that include process improvement, systems enhancement, user training, software procurement, and/or vendor engagements. * Collaborate with business leaders, providing input and capability information as inputs to develop business case for initiatives. * Provide architectural oversight of projects; ensure requirements are in alignment with business strategies and business architecture roadmap/framework. * Responsible for maintaining awareness of current business and industry issues/trends and incorporate into enterprise architecture designs as appropriate. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in finance, computer science, engineering or equivalent experience * 2 years of experience supporting business functions such as accounting, lending, securities trading, or equivalent. * 10 Year of Information Technology experience in business systems analysis and/or architecture design and deployment, AND leadership experience in managing or leading cross-functional teams or projects. * Experience with formal architectural design and delivery. Deep knowledge of architecture based methodologies and architecture toolsets. * Experience in business process re-engineering, requirements definition, and workflow analysis, reviews, analyzes, and evaluates stakeholder needs * Knowledgeable in or capable of but not limited to the following: Requirements and workflow analysis; Facilitation and coordination of meetings; Process Review, Analysis and Modeling; and Gap Analysis and Studies * Must be analytical, results-driven, and able to employ the right approach and methods to make the maximum use of time and resources. * Excellent interpersonal, creative, and communication skills that allow effective, proactive working relationships in a team-oriented environment. Adept at simplifying and explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. * Ability to understand business and technical drivers and requirements and translate into recommended architectural content. * Working knowledge of investment banking and understanding of accounting concepts.
