Job Description and Duties
The External Affairs unit of the State Treasurer's Office (STO) is seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Information Officer II. Reporting directly to the Staff Services Manager II in the Executive Office (EO) of the California State Treasurer's Office (STO), this position will be responsible for advising and coordinating the development, implementation, and maintenance of communications strategies and plans for the STO and the Boards, Commissions, and Authorities (BCAs) under its purview.
The IO II provides guidance and leadership to the communications team, who are tasked with promoting the STO using a variety of communications methods and channels.

Department Information
The State Treasurer's Office is a small department located at 901 P Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. It is just down the street from the State Capitol with public transportation and parking garage options nearby. The building is next to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Park, which is a wonderful place to exercise and enjoy the beautiful landscape during the fair-weathered months. The neighborhood around the building is filled with great dining options, coffee shops, a fitness club, and several day cares around.

Minimum Qualifications
