MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate for the position of Information Integration Manager must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Extensive applicable experience in computer science, data science, computer information systems, and/or a related field.

  • Six years of experience in information technology or higher education.

  • Extensive experience with MySQL, Microsoft SQL, and Oracle databases.

  • Deep knowledge of integration architecture and data management workflow.

  • Knowledge of metadata management.

  • Experience in managing releases for data warehousing products and integrations.

  • Experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology.

  • Ability to develop positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members; demonstrated experience in leading a multifunctional team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for the position of Information Integration Manager has the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, computer science, data science, computer information systems, or a related field.

  • More than eight years of experience in information technology or higher education. Three or more years of experience in a management or leadership position.

  • Experience with cloud data and data-management solutions from providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Informatica Cloud Services.

  • Proven experience configuring and tuning data warehouse, ETL, reporting, and analytics applications and underlying software.

  • Extensive experience in unit and automated integration testing.

  • Is a persuasive and effective communicator with the ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders and with experience presenting the business side of technical topics to non-technical audiences.

THE WORK YOU WILL DO

The Information Integration Manager oversees data integration planning, design, development, testing, and implementation. The Information Integration Manager ensures best-in-class design and development to integrate custom and off-the-shelf consumer applications through data virtualization. As part of the management team, the Information Integration Manager builds strong relationships across the ITS organization. As a member of ITS, the Information Integration Manager is expected to model and cultivate ITS's cultural values and behaviors within his or her team.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The Information Integration Manager:

  • Delivers best-in-class technical support by overseeing the design, development, testing, and management of integrations that enable the flow of data to a broad range of ITS systems and reports.

  • Ensures data quality by overseeing the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics.

  • Collaborates with data architecture peers to determine the proper approach for data management and to ensure data accuracy and validity.

  • Drives process and technology improvements by using the standard SDLC methodology; identifies and develops new integration methods and tools to enable improvements across key metrics.

  • Ensures requirements are met by managing unit and integration testing of code.

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders to ensure that consistent, reliable service is delivered to a range of campus stakeholders.

  • Establishes and maintains trusted relationships with customers, partners, and ITS departments to build an information technology strategy that responds to the business vision, goals, and strategy of the university.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The university reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
