Job Title: Information Assurance/Security Specialist
Entity: Kaiyuh Information Technologies, LLC
Location: Fort Belvoir, Virginia
Work Hours and Pay: Scheduled on site needs; DOE
Reports to: Project Manager
The Information Assurance/Security Specialist will be responsible for the performance of Security Services related to information systems, networks, applications, software and data protection through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, and enhancement of information assurance programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
Required Qualifications & Essential Functions:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience
Secret Security Clearance required
Have a background in technology with a strong history of secure technical implementations
Experience working with security compliance and associated industry/government standards
Previous government contracting experience preferred
Experience in Alaska Native Corporations preferred but not required
Will spend majority of time in front of a computer with repetitive typing motions
Must be able to pass a drug, reference, and background check
Perform all tasks related to perform a system Certification and Accreditation and assuring the system is compliant with all required security controls as defined by agency policies
Review system configurations to ensure they are in accordance with agency hardening guidelines
Review all proposed change requests related to system design/configuration and perform security impact analysis
Review monthly vulnerability scan reports and track and address weaknesses
Ensure all network and information system users meet the requirements for system access
Review and evaluate the effects on security of system changes, including interfaces with other information systems and document all changes
Other job duties as assigned
Excellent communication skills with the ability to state messages in a clear and concise manner over any form of communication
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and re-prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to learn an application environment in order to update or create supported security documentation.
Self-Starter, strong attention to detail, and must be able to work with minimal supervision
