Responsibilities:

Provides technical and programmatic Information Assurance Services to internal and external customers in support of network and information security systems. Designs, develops and implements security requirements within an organization's business processes.

Prepares documentation from information obtained from customer using accepted guidelines such as RMF (Risk Management Framework). Prepares test plans. Provides assessment and authorization (A&A) support in the development of security and contingency plans and conducts complex risk and vulnerability assessments. Analyzes policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations and provides recommendations for closing gaps.

Develops and completes system security plans and contingency plans. Recommends system enhancements to improve security deficiencies. Develops, tests and integrates computer and network security tools.

Secures system configurations and installs security tools, scans systems in order to determine compliancy and report results and evaluates products and various aspects of system administration. Conducts security program audits and develops solutions to lessen identified risks. Develops strategies to comply with privacy, risk management, and e-authentication requirements.

Provides information assurance support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements. Evaluates, develops and enhances security requirements, policy and tools. Provides assistance in computer incident investigations. Performs vulnerability assessments including development of risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

Years of Relevant Experience: 5+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or other related scientific or technical discipline

VIEW JOBS 11/17/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-15T00:00 Information Assurance Operating System Integration Lead (Job Number:441934) Description: JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC currently has an opening for an Information Assurance, Operating System Integration Engineer. * The candidate for this position will provide Risk Management Framework (RMF) support to the U.S. Army System Simulation, Software and Integration Directorate's Aviation Automated Logistics Operating System Integration (OSI) team. Development is in a Microsoft Windows environment. Candidate will be working as part of a Software Tier Disc Installation team that is creating custom installation discs to install required Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS), Government Off The Shelf (GOTS) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) updates and security controls that meet the Mission Assurance Category (MAC) II sensitive but Unclassified (SBU) level according to the appropriate Department of Defense (DoD) and Army Regulations. The Information Assurance Security Engineer will create custom patches to remediate vulnerabilities that have been identified by Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scan results. This effort supports Army Aviation aircraft maintenance software to be utilized by Army aviation units throughout the world. Qualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education Requirements: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in computer engineering, computer science, or related technical field. 5+ years of experience. Required Skills: * Candidate must possess an understanding of Army Information Assurance working with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG's), IAVAs or with Army information assurance applications such as Retina or SCAP; Experience with Army Gold Master (Windows 10) and Army Unified Gold Master (Windows Server 2012); Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, Scripting experience (Power Shell, Batch, C# .NET, JavaScript). * Must have the ability to work under strict time frames to meet both internal and external deadlines and customer expectations. * Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Must be able to manage own work, be able to balance multiple projects, and adapt quickly to new processes. * Candidate must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance. Desired Skills: * Provide support to RMF Certification process. * Experience with unattended automated installations of various vendor products to include; Microsoft SQL Server, Adobe and antivirus programs. * Provide direct customer support with Army soldiers. * Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) experience is desired. * Solidcore/HBSS experience is preferred. * Experience with Windows Group Policy Objects, Registry, and permissions. * Experience with System Test and Acceptance Testing is a plus. * CMM level III or higher experience preferred.
