Job Description:

GDIT is preparing to hire for all levels of Information Security Analyst in various locations. Specific position requirements and locations will be determined in the future. If interested in this position please apply; if qualified a recruiter will contact you with additional information.

The System Security Engineer's primary function is working within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Military Compartments efforts. The position will provide "day-to-day" support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities. Performance shall include:

  • Perform oversight of the development, implementation and evaluation of information system security program policy; special emphasis placed upon integration of existing SAP network infrastructures

  • Support a team of System Security Engineers and Certification and Accreditation Analysts responsible for ensuring the customers national and international security interests are protected as support equipment are designed and tested

  • Support customer and SAP community IA working groups, participate in SSE IPT reviews

  • Provides expert level consultation and technical services on all aspects of Information Security

  • Review SSE related designs and provides security compliance recommendations

  • Develop and provide IA risk management recommendations to the customer

  • Provide SSE support for Mission and Training systems design and development

  • Assist with development and maintenance of the Program Protection Plan

  • Assist with site activation activities and design reviews

  • Represent the customer in various SSE related working groups, advisory groups, and advisory council meetings

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience (4 years)

Certifications:

  • Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Architect and Engineer Level I within 6 months of the date of hire

Security Clearance:

  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility

  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information

  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph

Other Requirements:

  • Must be familiar with security policy/manuals and the appropriate

DCIDs/JAFANs and other guiding policy documents:

  • Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision Willingness to travel within the organizational geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR) (note - could be extensive, and will include both air and ground transportation

Ensure that the design of hardware, operating systems, and software applications adequately address cybersecurity requirements for the IS and Network Environment * Design, develop, and implement network security measures that provide confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation * Design, develop, and implement specific cybersecurity countermeasures for the IS and Network Environment * Develop interface specifications for the IS and Network Environment * Develop approaches to mitigate IS and Network Environment vulnerabilities and recommend changes to network or network system components as needed * Ensure that network system(s) designs support the incorporation of FBI directed cybersecurity vulnerability solutions Basic Qualifications: * Familiarity with the use and operation of security tools including Tenable Nessus and/or Security Center, IBM Guardium, HP WebIlnspect, Network Mapper (NMAP), and/or similar applications. * Hold at least one of the following certifications: One of the following certifications is required to meet the category/level ISSE-2 (DOD 8570) requirement for this position: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (or Associate), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) CASP CE, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), CISSP- Information System Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP), or CISSP- Information System Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP). * Bachelor's and advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other cyber discipline is preferred; plus minimum 5 years' experience, or equivalent education/experience; Doctorate plus 4 years; Master's plus 3 years; Associates plus 7 years; or H.S./GED plus 10 years.
