We are looking for an Information Assurance Specialist to join our VA Team in NW Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:
Use data to understand business patterns and trends in information assurance
Analyze internal and external data through quantitative research
Communicate and articulate findings and data analysis through standard and ad hoc reports
Identify areas of improvement for metrics and data reporting
Promote best practices in data analysis, in collaboration with Data & Metrics team members
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Develop and/or enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs) or processes with data collection and analytics

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
5-7 years of experience managing complex data sets and enhancing data reporting
Familiarity with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools, or specifically the RiskVision platform
Previous experience in business intelligence, cyber security, analysis, or other related field
Previous experience working with fragmented data and organizing dispersed data sets
Exceptional experience/knowledge of information assurance and security
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment

ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense. As the Information Systems Analyst you will be responsible for assisting the Information System Security Manager(ISSM) in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining various required Information System Security documents, tools and artifacts. You will also serve as a contributing member of the organizations Continuity Operations/Disaster Recovery Team. As the ISSM's liaison to both internal and external customers you will have the opportunity implement creative ideas in risk resolution, and support a highly dynamic and diverse, Information Technology Organization. Duties and Responsibilities * Working knowledge and experience with Linux, Windows, and Oracle database environments. * Development of project deliverable's related to security risk management to include system integration, scalability, and performance. * Evaluate security implementations in system architecture and administration, and implement secure solutions in accordance with appropriate policies and guidelines. * Familiarity with cloud environments, and basic enclave/platform terminology. * Ability to work in enterprise level environments, and develop and document secure solutions to both system redundancy and information security in accordance with organizations policies and guidelines. * Demonstrate ability to use system hardening guides to develop effective solutions to identified risks associated with various evaluations, and monitor patch evaluation for proper procurement and deployment. * Install, update, configure, and administer all cyber monitoring and forensic tools used by the analyst. Familiarity with Splunk and Nessus tools a plus. * Actively participate in Disaster Recovery Planning, and Planned FISMA exercises. Ensure associated SOP's, and related tracking artifacts are kept up to date. * Work within a team environment, but operate independently in the absence of strict guidance to correct issues, and improve the environment. * Maintain and deliver status reports as directed. * Demonstrate ability and initiative to execute broad assignments requiring minimal direction. Basic Qualifications: * 3+ years working in Information Security or similar field with strong knowledge in reviewing or implementing security controls, and utilizing STIGS and NVD to research risks associated with various operating systems. * Strong knowledge of Linux environments, and ability to identity and resolve identified security risks. * Working knowledge and proven ability to implement Security Controls contained within NIST 800-53a Rev 3 at a minimal. * Working knowledge of the following Information Security Guides: NIST 800-37 Rev 1, OMB Circular A-130. * Highly efficient in the use and implementation of the Microsoft Office Suite. * Strong communication skills to interact with internal teams and external government customers. * Security + Required * Associates Degree or Higher * Secret Clearance Required; Top Secret is a plus Preferred Qualifications: * Working knowledge of NIST 800-34 Rev 1, Contingency Planning Guide for Federal Information Systems. * Knowledgeable in the use of Sharepoint Application. * Familiarity with Oracle, and Mixed Application/Operating Systems environments. * Knowledge of FAM Information Security and FAH Information Assurance Policies a plus.
