Information Assurance Network Manager

Apex Systems, the nation's 2nd largest IT Staffing organization, has an immediate opportunity for an Information Assurance Network Manager to support the infrastructure for a government integration organization. The position entails a six-month contract-to-hire and offers competitive compensation and benefits.

The top areas of focus of this position will be assessing and identify risks with software and hardware systems. Working alongside of other security personnel to ensure the preparation systems for security certification under National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and/or Risk Management Framework (RMF) for IS guidance.

Job Description

This individual provides security support of the network for a government agency, while using tools such as Cisco.

Requirements

  • The individual must meet DoDD 8570.01 certification requirements for Information Assurance Manager (IAT) Level III and possess a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

  • 7 years of experience in supporting, monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting Enterprise level Network environments utilizing CISCO network equipment.

  • 5 years of experience deploying, configuring, and sustaining VoIP technologies such as Cisco Call Manager, Unity, and Content Center Express within a DoD Enterprise Environment.

  • The IANM will have previous experience in testing, evaluating, and preparing systems for security certification under National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and/or Risk Management Framework (RMF) for IS guidance.

Schedule

This role is a full time position with the expectation of 40 hours per week. The position will require the network engineer to be on-site and work eight hours within the core hours of seven am and six pm.
