The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking an Information Associate for the Clinic Administration Predoctoral Clinics. The Predoctoral Clinics are an important part of the health care delivery system ensuring optimal health care experience for our dental patients.

The Predoctoral Clinic Receptionist functions as an integral member of a team of care providers in the College of Dentistry. Overall responsibilities include serving as one of the receptionists in the eight predoctoral clinics performing patient scheduling, taking incoming patient calls, patient check-in, tracking dental and hygiene students schedules, assisting with backup coverage as needed, verifying forms for accuracy and completeness, coordinating with and disseminating information to the patient care team; this position assists with providing coverage for student licensing exams, board screenings and participates in a team rotation to cover bi-weekly predoctoral evening clinic each semester.

Monday Friday 7:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.

This position may include weekends and evening work; candidate must be able to push/pull carts containing patient records or office supplies, bend/stretch/twist to pick up supplies, retrieve records or maintain office appearance, stand and walk for periods of time serving and assisting customers.

Pre Employment Screening Requires the successful completion of a background check. Required Qualifications

One year of experience (1000 hours of course work or training) in customer service or communications, including analyzing and interpreting information; six months of experience (600 hours of training) in operation of computer and related peripheral equipment; three months of experience (300 hours of course work) in information research and analysis.

Desired Qualifications

Three years of customer service experience with direct (in person) customer contact; three years of experience using computers to generate a variety of materials ranging from basic to complex; three years of data entry experience with a high level of proficiency using Microsoft Office 2010 in a business environment; ability to use basic office equipment; fax machines, copier/printers, laminators; a high level of verbal and written skills; ability to contribute and work within a fast-paced team environment
