Information and Knowledge Management Engineer

This engineering service focused position includes those who developand maintain the information technologies, functional excellence and productchange management that enables the engineering practitioners to work moreefficiently and effectively.

  • Applies technical information andknowledge based activities, fulfills work requests to standardized policies andprocedures and documents results.

  • Applies and supports informationprocesses such as Engineering Standard Work (ESW), Value Package Introduction(VPI), product change management and data repositories such as technicalinformation libraries, all required to meet the needs of practitioners withinthe technical function.

  • Obtains input and negotiates with abroad variety of technical practitioners to deliver results that directly orindirectly enable high quality processes, tools, drawings or specifications.

  • Applies academic knowledge andexisting experience to take action and make decisions that progress projectsforward without sacrificing project quality expectations.

  • Owns problem resolution formoderately complex components, products, systems, subsystems or services with arelatively low degree of technical complexity and ambiguity.

  • Provides independent execution ofestablished work processes and systems, while still developing technology orproduct knowledge; engages with the improvement of systems and processes.

  • Involves minimal direct managementof people, but could involve the coordination and direction of work amongsttechnicians and/or temporary student employees.

  • Contributes effectively toward teamgoals, exhibits influence within a work group and continues to developproficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.

Major Programs TypicallyConsidered: All Engineering Majors, Business, Economics,Informatics, Organizational Leadership/Supervision

CumminsFull Time Requirements:

  • College, university or equivalent technical experience required

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred

  • Must be able to complete 40 hours per week

  • 0-2 years in a position/internship relating to your field of study preferred

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary ratecommensurate with experience.
