JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Informatics Sales Specialist (ISS) is responsible for working directly with our customers to sell informatic solutions that support their business needs, and ensures that the sales goal for the given territory is met or exceeded. Understands how informatic solutions can improve hospital outcomes with specific focus on the laboratory space. Leverages expertise to recommend IT enablers and services that will help our customers to drive cost efficiencies, operational productivity, and improve the quality of patient care delivery. Collaborates with and is supported by other Sales team members.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute contract negotiations to achieve the sales quota for given customer base. Create territory and strategic account plans to achieve sales goal.

  • Conduct informatics product demonstrations to show how the application of informatic solutions, such as IT enablers, can improve hospital/laboratory performance.

  • Be the subject matter expert on the IT enabler portfolio, both internally and externally, to provide guidance and support for technical product inquiries.

  • Act as the central point of contact for the customer to coordinate appropriate Abbott resources/support necessary to execute the strategic account plan. Provide superior customer service that motivates customers to refer our services to their colleagues and professional network.

  • Effectively manage the timely execution and high quality delivery of all deliverables and related transactional work (ie. statements of work, pricing, etc.).

  • Build and persevere strong customer relationships to continually understand changing needs, drive new sales, and protect base business.

  • Navigate within a highly matrixed environment using strong communication/interpersonal skills and ability to influence without authority.

  • Based on customer interactions, share ideas on customer-centric business opportunities with the potential to increase satisfaction and engagement.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience with IT enablers/software, ideally in a sales or customer-facing role.

  • Demonstrate deep technical knowledge of informatics solutions and be effective providing guidance to non-technical audience.

  • Familiar with how IT technology is used in the laboratory/hospital space.

  • Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) preferred.

The Regional Sales Consultant focuses on growing new sales revenue within the designated region by identifying, qualifying and coordinating meetings for all opportunities, performing online product demonstrations, onsite product demonstrations, negotiating the contract, and closing. Key Responsibilities * Sales quota attainment – Consistently attain Sales Quota and year over year sales growth for new sales. Consistently attain quota assigned to the sales territory. Identify, prioritize and close new account and add-on opportunities. * Sales pipeline management – Effectively manage the sales pipeline to ensure an adequate amount of opportunities are identified for both short- and long-term success in reaching assigned quotas. * Consistently build and deliver an accurate account pipeline. Accurately forecast sales opportunities and keep internal systems up-to-date with account information, activities and contacts. * Demonstrations and product knowledge – Schedule and perform online/onsite demonstrations for targeted accounts. Maintain proficiencies in all ProLaw products to deliver effective and thorough demonstrations. * Account development and local marketing – Prospect opportunities for all prospective firms in the given region. This includes email campaigns. phone calls or any means to generate new business. Work with Marketing to develop targeted strategies. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and skills Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. Experience * 2+ years of successful sales and/or account management in a related environment with demonstrated effective selling skills and techniques Knowledge * Strong working knowledge of legal time and billing software and related applications with experience demonstrating sophisticated accounting software * A comprehensive understanding of the legal and/or professional services marketplace, its business culture, processes, value drivers and business operations either through sales or project management Skills * Build and maintain relationships with influencers and decision-makers * Exceptional oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone for extended periods of time * Ability to negotiate and close under time and objective pressure * Focused, activity-driven, and technology savvy * Effective time management and organizational skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office Travel (include %) * Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time for travel that is made up of onsite demonstrations, sales conferences and/or trade shows At Thomson Reuters, we believe what we do matters.
