Information Risk Management - IT Risk Manager, Vice President

Job Summary

Thesuccessful candidate will have the ability to understand the operating model ofour organization and be able to highlight potential risks, challenge riskowners, and support accelerate our control framework to the next level. Thecandidate will be responsible for supporting the First Line of Defense InformationTechnology & Operations Risk & Control Office to manage all IT risksthrough the issue management life cycle. The ISA Risk and Control Office ispart of the Integrated Services for the Americas organization and the teamevaluates, challenges, and drives forward improvements to the IT controlenvironment. Thecandidate should also have exceptional time management and prioritizationskills, combined with strong IT risk management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and support to the ITorganization in managing IT risks through the issue management life cycle.

  • Decide on suitable strategies and objectivesto manage risk issues in conjunction with IT stakeholders and work with those ITstakeholders to ensure action items are resolved timely

  • Support development of material for relevantrisk committees, boards, and forums

  • Work with Second Line of Defense and internalaudit partners to ensure effective issue management coordination.

  • Support the drafting/updates to ISAInformation Risk Management procedures

  • Helping to change the risk and controlculture within the organization

  • Build and maintain strong ongoing workingrelationships with counterparts to drive the IT risk agenda forward in acollaborative manner and support those counterparts in performing effectiveissue management.

  • Ability to collate and analyze data tounderstand issues and relay control related messages

Qualifications:

  • Requiresa Bachelor's Degree; a Master's Degree or equivalent experience in Business,Administration, Technology or related field is desirable.

  • Minimum 10 years in IT management,technology or operational risk management, technology audit or related role,including experience testing and assessing controls

  • Deep understandingand experience working within the "Three Lines of Defense" model.

  • Understandingof Agile discipline, hands-on experience preferred but not mandatory.

  • Experience inmanaging and designing risk assessments for technology is desirable.

  • Knowledgeof financial services industry and its regulations/laws.

  • Understandingof control and risk management concepts and knowledge of operational aspects ofthe information risk business.

  • Knowledgeof risk management policies, methods, standards, processes and industrystandard risk analysis.

  • Strongwritten, verbal and presentation communication skills.

  • IT Control Certification (e.g. CISA, CRISC,CISM, CGEIT) preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities Include: * Build models, design scenarios and implement tools for counterparty stress testing for both regulatory and risk management purposes. * Work closely with risk managers and front office & IT to remediate existing gaps in counterparty stress testing framework and perform analyses for topical stresses. * Perform quantitative model testing, validation, and enhancement for the counterparty credit risk exposure measurement models, including Monte Carlo simulation, pricing and valuation models, margining, netting and aggregation models. * Perform business analysis on the firm's existing system, data, model and processes within the context of risk management and regulatory implementation. * Evaluate counterparty exposure of proposed derivative trades that are too complex to be covered by the firm's exposure models in production. * Program, test and implement quantitative financial methods using C , VBA, Matlab, and SQL. Utilize advanced statistics and mathematics skills including options pricing theory, stochastic calculus, Monte Carlo simulation, numerical analysis and optimization techniques, probability theory, and time series analysis. Qualifications: * Good communication skills and articulation abilities of both verbal and written are desired. * Advanced degree (M.S. or PhD) in a quantitative discipline, e.g., economic, mathematics, or finance with a quantitative undergraduate background. * 5 to 7 years work experience in counterparty risk modelling team. * Strong cross-asset product knowledge and familiarity with financial markets. * In-depth knowledge of option pricing and stochastic calculus and Monte Carlo simulation. * Strong programming skills in C , Python, Matlab/R. * Statistical skills (e.g., probability theory, time series analysis) and facility with statistical packages would be desirable but are not required.
