Purpose of JobThis position is for a new Product Owner to own a portion of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) portfolio for the workforce for our San Antonio, TX location. The ideal candidate will be a Security Professional with IAM experience who has been a member of an Agile product team in either a business or development role. With delegated authority from a Product Manager (PM), this Information Security (IS) Product Owner (PO) job represents information security stakeholders to elicit, understand, analyze, document, refine, and communicate business needs, so that business and/or technical delivery teams can build effective security solutions. The IS PO is accountable to the PM and has responsibility for all aspects of the security product. The IS PO participates in the evaluation, design, monitoring, and/or implementation of IS systems, policies and processes. This requires a detailed understanding of IS (particularly IAM), customer needs, as well as business vision and strategy to prioritize investment, business value and delivery. This position serves as the day to day decision maker and provides continual business guidance for the execution team. This position leads, manages or orchestrates activities for completion and proper documentation of business requirements and validating metrics as appropriate for methodology and Enterprise controls. Works with the funding representatives to manage the expenses of projects within their purview. Works with the business and IT delivery teams to identify and mitigate risks to include business operational risks. Escalates issues and develops and recommends appropriate solutions.
Develops, implements and executes security access controls across USAA environments. Responsible for the administration of access and security profiles across applications and systems, security policies, and audit controls. Also responsible for reporting exceptions, testing and maintaining access controls, and supporting the business for security related identity and access issues.
Guides and performs life-cycle management and administration of IAM access and controls to Enterprise/Member systems managed by Enterprise Security.
Develops, implements, and maintains advanced strategies and processes for the administration of security access to new and existing USAA enterprise/member systems (on premise or externally provided).
Analyzes highly complex access requests working with the requestor, the USAA business, the resource owners, and IT as required to ensure that the access is correct and complies with USAA guidance and industry best practices.
Provides highly complex troubleshooting and incident support for IAM related issues for multiple platforms and technologies
Prepares and delivers written and verbal briefings including recommendations on complex topics to senior leadership and external parties as required.
Maintains expert level knowledge of USAA information security guidance as well as industry information security best practices, frameworks, laws and regulations.
Provides highly complex advice and guidance on routine and custom IAM controls to the enterprise/members.
Drives and directs quality work efforts. Serves as the primary resource for cross-functional team members on escalated issues of a unique nature.
Expert in the creation, publishing, maintenance and interpretation of Information Security guidance.
Team lead serving as mentor and coach to other members of the team. Serves as proxy for management.
Bachelor's degree OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required
8+ years of experience in Information Security and/or Information Technology
