Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction
Central Office of Record Operations
COoR operations include COMSEC policy updates and/or creation;
Provide COMSEC systems installation operations and maintenance; research, planning, coordination, and execution of program activities required to operate and maintain a world class COMSEC program.
Must have Windows 2012 systems administration experience
Provide direct liaison to government and Crypto communities to facilitate the effective creation of SOPs, COMSEC Advisories, Various Reports, and Training materials
Provide internal/external interface and communications to critical COMSEC Accounts
Attend community Work-Groups, Conference, and Technical Expos, to keep the office advised on community-wide efforts, directives and best practices
Track COMSEC key expirations on a monthly basis, work with various customers to ensure sites update key
Based on deployed equipment propose most efficient means possible to affect repairs as needed
Provide leadership and guidance to COMSEC team
Responsible to work with Operations and Engineering to ensure Crypto devices are properly configured for management and optimal operations
Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.Sets up administrator and service accounts.Maintains system documentation
Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.May program in an administrative language.Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.Provides advice and training to end-users.Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members, and may have supervisory responsibilities.May serve as a technical team or task leader.Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.Participates in special projects as required.Education
