Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) is looking for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the Information Assurance Cyber Security organization in Tewksbury, MA.

This is a collaborative environment where there is high focus on ensuring regulatory compliance while allowing diversity of thought and providing results based recognition.
Provide Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Support to classified computing environments.
Primarily interface with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), Program Engineering staff and Classified Lab Managers to ensure adherence to all NISPOM Chapter 8 policies.
Maintain the classified information security computing environments, creating profiles and security plans.
Submit updates in a timely manner and implement any changes required by the customer rapidly and correctly.
Ensure all IS's are configured and maintained to retain DSS accreditation during classified operations.
Verify the conduct of weekly audits of the lab environments.
Verify there are no changes to the IS.
Verify automated audit functions are performing properly.
Verify no time period of audit data is missing.
Review event logs.
Verify users are cleared to operate lab systems.
This position can be a Salary Grade G06 or Salary Grade G07 based on the candidate's educational qualifications.

Required Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Ability to obtain a security clearance Currently enrolled or a recent graduate (within 18 months) with a Bachelor's Degree in either Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, Criminal Justice, Business or other relevant degree Desired

Skills:
Experience in DoD classified operating and/or laboratory environments.
Operating system experience, (i.e., Windows, Solaris, HPUX, Linux operating systems, and/or NetApps Filers.

Previous experience working in a classified information systems environment.

Possess good written, verbal, listening and presentation skills Self-motivated and possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in documenting evaluation results.

Desire and ability to work as a team member is essential Customer focused, adaptable and willing to work varying assignments Working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Organizational skills to include: attention to detail, time management and ability to multitask Previous networking experience.

CISA, Security+, or CNE professional certification.

Job Description: This position is for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) at Raytheon, Tewksbury. The ISSO provides support to classified computing environments. This person will be responsible for assisting in the development and enforcement of information systems security procedures in accordance with company and government regulations and policies. The ISSO will be responsible for system compliance, auditing, security plan development and delivering information systems security education and awareness. The ISSO will assist in investigating information system security violations and helps prepare reports specifying corrective and preventative actions. The position routinely interfaces with their facility security team, program personnel and government representatives. This position requires the ability to obtain a US DoD SECRET security clearance. Except in rare cases only US Citizens are eligible to obtain a US DoD Security clearance. This position is ERIP eligible. Capped relocation support is available to the selected applicant if eligible per Company policy. Amount of budget to be discussed at the appropriate time. Required Skills: * Relevant experience working with and/or supporting computer technologies (such as: Microsoft Office applications, databases, operating systems or computer network hardware) * Ability to obtain a US SECRET Clearance * Ability to obtain and maintain Information Security professional certification commensurate with DoD 8570.1-M Level 2 requirements (Security+ or other) within six months of hire date.
